This is a rare rig beacuse it has a Diesel motor. 6.2L detroit diesel that runs great mated to a 700r4 overdrive transmission, great combo for excellant fuel economy. This is only 2WD. The body is ok, has some dings and dents (see pics) but has no rust. This is a west coast veichle!! The paint is original and is oxidizing, the passenger door has been replaced. This is a really solid rig to drive daily. The interior is original and is ageing, it has been used. has some stains and tears, the seats are ageing. Does not have a 3rd row seat. The headliner is sagging. The only slight bit of rust is just on the rockers when you open doors. it is not soft or weak, just has that "rust" look. (see pics) The fuel gauge and speedometer work forsure. Heater blows warm. A/C is inoperative, there is no belt on the pump. Power windows work, but are slow. The locks do not work- The motor runs strong, does not have any blue or white smoke. Runs and drives smooth. Fires right up. Glow plugs work good. Does leak a little oil. Would not be afraid to drive this long distance. The transmission shifts though all gears smooth. Does not shift into overdrive till around 50mph, has highway rearend gears! The headlights and taillights all work. This is a good old original suburban, that is ready to haul your trailer or family. The diesel engine makes it, so you can drive it without breaking the bank!! It drives VERY comfortably. Smooth quiet ride! THE POWERSTEERING IS NOT HOOKED UP DUE TO THE BRACKET THAT HOLDS PUMP ON BLOCK HAS BEEN BROKE OFF!! NO RESERVE AUCTION, PLEASE BID TO BUY!!!
