RELISTING AFTER THE WINNING BIDDER WOULD MAKE NO CONTACT WITH ME AFTER NUMEROUS EMAILS TO HIM, SO HERE IT IS AGAIN. Wife says i have too many toys and its time to sell 1. Here we have a 1996 CR250 with the power valve. This bike will run with the best of them, very fun bike to ride. On my last ride down in kentucky i blew a head gasket and when i took out the plug antifreeze was coming out of plug hole. So it told me its definally a blown head gasket which requires removing the top part of the cylinder head and putting the new 10.00 part on and its good to go. the bottom end and everything is in perfect shape no problems. all gears are perfect. The piston and jug is perfect with no problems. run like a scalded dog before i blew the gasket. Lucky for me i had my atvs with me so it didnt stop me from finishing my ride. Tires are in perfect condition about 90% tread on them rims perfect no dents. Chain and cogs are in perfect shape had been replaced a few rides before i blew the head gasket. seat has no tears and plastics are not broken. I could part this out and make a lot more money that what i am hoping to get out of the auction i just dont want to do that with my baby, i enjoyed riding it so much and wouldnt want to tear it up to sell it in parts. You can figure the engine will bring 600 to 900 dollars, the front wheel around 125, th back wheel with the tire and cog around 225.00 the frame 300 or more and then you have the plastics around 100 for all of them. Then there is the muffer another 75.00 and many more items on this that can be parted out. then if you really wanted to get down and break it up more you can break down the engine and sell it in peices and make much more. there is alot of money to be made here on the bike for a person who parts out stuff and sells it. The jug alone would bring 300 where it has the power valve. So if you want to double your money send me the offer i ask for and its yours. Everything is stock on this bike...... As i was riding i noticed it starting to blow antifreeze out the muffer so i shut it down and took plug out and thats when i saw it had blew the head gasket. Simple fix i was going to do this summer which takes about 30 minutes. I have 4 atv's so i rode them and kinda put this to the side for the time being. Now i need the money so its time to sell. On Jan-11-13 at 05:01:13 PST, seller added the following information: I took the head off 01/10/13 and checked to see and the gasket is blown, so new head gasket and its ready to ride. everything on this bike is stock, has strong compression.
