This is a standard, our other is an Automatic, but they're basically identical otherwise. The truck is a 1-company vehicle. It's not new or perfect, but it has seen good service and it runs/drives very well. It's an XL, but still well equipped, everything works, has a clean history and hasn't been exposed to a ton of road salt like east coast or great lakes rigs. The truck belonged to a fleet of service trucks that did pipeline work for oil/gas in Wyoming. Service trucks are hard to find right now, and although this rig isn't a peach, it will get the job done while driving nice, and the price is very reasonable. exterior The cab on this truck looks fine for a work truck. There's no scaly rust, no noticeable dents, or damage, etc. It has a clean Carfax, no accidents. Our detailer went over the rockers with a little silver paint just to seal it because they were pitted and will rust if you're in a salt area. We can have our paint guy come and professional airbrush the rockers to match, but it's just a work truck. The windshield is fine, no cracks, and the doors all open and close fine. The tires have decent, but not new tread. They're fine to drive on for a while yet and although they're aggressive, they've been rotated very regularly and aren't too choppy on the highway. Normally mud tires with this much use on an F-250 with mileage will be cupped in the inside, so the front end has probably been well tended to on this guy. The box is used, but not abused. The doors all open and close easily and the interior compartments are in better shape than a lot of work trucks we see. That red pipe rack can be removed if you don't want it. We can take it off if need be. The box has lots of chips, marks, and it's a tad faded. The photos show this truck well. It's fine for work, just not an award winner. It is very solid though. I'd say this one is probably a hair cleaner than our automatic one. interior The interior is clean and it doesn't reek of smoke. The air blows cold, stereo works, and it does have tilt/cruise and power options. The upholstery is fine, no rips or bad stains, however, there is no rear seat currently installed. We can put one in for about $250 with belts if needed. The jambs under the door seams are a bit chipped up, but other than that, it's a pretty nice looking rig inside. mechanical This pickup fires easy and idles smooth. There's no warning lights on the dash, nor did it have any when it came in. There are some service docs on Carfax, however I can imagine a lot are missing. The truck rides and drives very well, and these motors are bomb proof, so with a standard trans, you've really minimized what can go wrong when buying a high mileage truck. I've driven this rig, it's easy to get about in, trans and clutch feel fine, good pedal, no grinding, no smoke, no odd noises, etc. The 4x4 does engage properly. The undercarriage is dirty, but not puking any fluids. We checked over the diffs/t-case, etc, all full. The oil and filter are new, brake pad life is about 1/2 life front and rear, and belts are good. The truck has been fleet maintained and will probably run out another 200k should you choose to keep it that long. comments This is a good workhorse and a tough truck.
