Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1957 Chevy 2 door hardtop. This car has had a tree fall on the roof and there is damage to it and the front fenders and hood. It does have some rust and the front floor boards have rust. The biggest hole is about the size of a football; they will need to be replaced. The trunk pan has rust about the same size right in the very center. I couldn't get a picture of it, because all the parts are inside the trunk. It looks like this car was restored once, maybe in the late 60's or early 70's. It has bucket seats in it, and they are in good shape, just needs covered. When I bought the car back this summer, it would turn over, the engine is not locked up. I did not take the time to put a tune up in it, or oil change or new gas in it, so not sure if it will run or not. The car had been sitting for a few years. I believe if all this was put in the car, it would probably run. It has headers, and I have an extra fender for one side, and an extra hood that goes with the car to replace the damaged one. In the trunk is all the trim that is needed to put back on after the new roof is put on. And there are extra pieces. This car is buildable, and I bought it with that in mind. However, I own a body shop and have been too busy to tackle it. I am currently building a 2 door sedan and do not have the time or the funds to do it right now. There is also an extra back window for the car. The passenger door is in very bad shape. It would need to be replaced also. The trunk lid is not good, it is rotted out. This Chevy is currently in a garage and the winning bidder may wait to pick it up until after the first of the year as long as 1/2 total sell price is paid within 7 days of auction end. The other 1/2 may be paid when car is picked up. I will also deliver the car to the winning bidder within 4 hours of southern Indiana. Indianapolis, St Louis, Nashville, Louisville areas included. The cost of delivery will be $1.25 per mile. I will accept Paypal, or money order within 7 days of auction end.
