Vehicle Detail
This 914 would be a great project car for someone wanting to get a nice, economical and fun to drive car for cheap, as it is complete and has a good solid body. I have had this car for about six years and it has been stored inside the whole time. The engine will need a full rebuild but I do have a 2.0 engine complete with FI system/brain for sale for an extra $400 that came out of a running car and at a minimum it will make an excellent core. The body is in nice shape and has no serious rust issues, it will require only a small amount of work to prep it for a good quality paint job as most of it has been stripped to bare metal and primed with rust proof primer. The doors are the later style with safety beams and the good regulators plus tinted glass. The rear trunk has some pitting at the rear edge but no holes or weak spots except for a few small drain holes made by the PO. Most of the rubber is good (front and rear hood seals, pillar/roof seals, door seals, wipers) and three of the tires are new. The windshield moldings are not in place because the windshield needs to be reset or possibly replaced as it has a wiper scratch and is pitted, just cosmetic issues. I bought this car at an auction with three other 914s and have no keys for it. Not shown in the photos are the front suspension pan, the sail panel seal trim and another under dash pad that is in better shape-they are all included. Not sure of the transmission condition but i do have five spares and will include an extra or any other part that the new owner needs that I have in my large parts inventory. I hate to get rid of this car but don't have the time/money to fix it and six years is long enough of a rest-time for a new home! fee free to ask questions or to request more photos, thanks for looking!
