I am selling my 1979 240D.  It is at 17X,000 miles.  It is a very rare Green on Green.  Owned by an older couple so the interior is quite mint.  Only downside really is that the paint is faded from sitting in the sun for so many years.  I just did a ton of maintenance work on it.  It gets 35 MPG easily on drives. Not really much to say, I have been driving it for a while and just have too many vehicles at the moment. Any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking! Here are answers to common questions: Q: What is with the dent in the drivers quarter panel near the light?A: That is from a shipping cart collision in the Late 80's/Early 90's that someone attempted to push out by themselves. Q: Is there any rust on the car?A: The only rust is surface rust where that shopping cart incident scraped paint off. This car is a lifetime West Coast car and is very dry. Q: Can I drive this car across the country?A: Yes you can, it has served me well on several long road trips and I do not doubt it could make the trek. All it needs would be a competent driver with the skills and knowledge to fix things - should something go wrong - and a set of snow tires since it is winter after-all. Q: Does the car smoke?A: No, it does not. It produces lovely diesel exhaust. Q: Will the car come with any spare parts?A: Yes, a new set of glow-plugs, a gasket set, an oil filter, a fuel filter, some vacuum fittings and lines, a couple interior lights and maybe a couple other things.
