Vehicle Detail
For your consideration is a 1960 Chevrolet Impala Base Sedan. This car just got a new paint job and is ready to be reassembled. I have a complete period correct reproduction interior to include, door panels, tuxedo carpet, seat covers, new seat foam, headliner, kick panels, and rear quarter trim. I have new door and window handles, new door seals, front and rear glass seals, new reproduction windshield, new vent windows, all new emblems for the hood, trunk, grille, and fenders. I have all of the stainless and aluminum exterior trim pieces that are in great shape. I also have all new window felts for the car. The car is very solid with no rust in the floor pans or trunk. Car has a late model Chevrolet 305 V8 with a TH350 automatic transmission. Only mechanical issues are the car will need either a new carb or rebuild the quadrajet that is in it to make it run great, new shocks, and new tires. Car has a front disc brake conversion already installed. The car runs and drives very srong as it is. I have a lot of money tied up in this car and the parts. All it needs is a few minor things and some elbow grease to make it a very nice driver. It is not a show quality car but it is not a piece of junk either. I cannot finish it the way it needs to be done and I hate to see it sit. For the right person that is familiar with these cars, it would be an easy assembly to have a great classic. Everything is there and this is a complete car, just needs to be put back together. I am going to send it to the interior shop in a couple of days to have the headliner and windlace installed and have the new seat foam and seat covers installed if it doesnt sell. The car is listed for sale locally as well so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. The reserve is reasonably low and doesn't even cover what I have in the car and parts but I bit off more than I can chew with this car and family comes first. Feel free to ask any questions. I have started putting the car back together and have most of the exterior trim on, minus a few small pieces. I have the windlace installed, and started on the interior. All that is lacking on this car is tires, getting the carbuerator right, shocks, completeing the interior, and installing the front and rear glass. Everything is there to complete the car. The only thing missing is the front fender trim and they are on backorder. I have already paid for them so I will ship to the winning bidder as soon as they arrive. If you add up all the parts, I have over $4000 in new stuff, so basically you are getting the car for $2500. I really need to move this car soon. On Nov-12-12 at 07:46:16 PST, seller added the following information: I have placed a buy it now price on this car. I have started installing the exterior trim and am just about finished. I have over $4000 just in new parts, interior, glass, emblems, seals, weatherstripping, etc. not including the paint cost. This will make a very nice driver quality car when finished. I am still continuing to reassemble it as time permits. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
