1969 Chevelle SS 396 Just in time for Christmas Here is a stunningly restored 69 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible with mild updates that have retained the style and class that was originally built into this car. Beautiful red on white, with white striping and white convertible top. Factory 4-speed with Hurst shifter and Muncie M21 transmission. Although the "Title" and "Cowl Tag" (13667) both establish this as a true SS Chevelle, the engine and transmission are not "numbers matching" so this is not a $100,000 vehicle. It is however, a truly rare and beautiful addition to any collection. The entire drive train is fresh including 396 engine, M21 Muncie 4-speed transmission, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, drive shaft and 12 bolt rear end with new gears and bearings. The body off restoration included the already mentioned drive train, complete suspension, brakes, exhaust, hoses, lines, wiring, right down to the last bolt and nut. Just a few finite items and finishing touches would make this exceptional. The interior includes all new upholstery, carpet, factory console and a nostalgic gauge package from Dolphin gauges. Odometer shows 61 miles. It has been safely stored in my collection in a climate-controlled room and has never been in the rain. It drives like a dream and it never fails to get the attention it deserves. Although it is road ready and can be driven anywhere, I have chosen to keep it in its original restored condition.
