Due to a lack of funds and time, I am being forced to sell one of my most favorite vehicles ever. Initially, I purchased this 1984 Brat GL because of its low mileage and original ownership, and since then I have spent a good amount of money and time preparing it for the road and smog. Below is a rundown of the work done and parts purchased within the last year: 1984 Subaru Brat GL (2nd Generation) 4X4 1.8L M/T (116,XXX original miles) * New Head Gaskets * Machined Heads and Valve Guides * Adjusted Valves * New Manifold Gaskets * Replaced motor/transmission mounts * Replaced tires (about 75% tread) * Replaced Starter * Replaced distributer * New Ignition Coil * New Radiator * Replaced all fuel and coolant hoses * Flushed and changed oil, coolant, and transmission oil * New Spark Plugs * New Spark Plug Wires * New Cap & Rotor * New Catalytic Converter * New Ignition Switch * New Alternator * New CV Axles * Replaced fuel tank (from parts Brat) * Replaced tailgate (from parts Brat) * Replaced fuel pump * New Muffler * New O2 Sensor * New EGR Valve * Rebuilt Carburetor * New rear brake shoes and hardware kit (needs to be installed) * Replaced front brakes * Replaced all wheel bearings * Replaced Windshield & Seal * Replaced Rear Sliding Window & Seal (From Parts Brat) * New Clutch & Throw-Out Bearing * New Inner/Outer Tie-Rod Ends * New Control Arm Bushings * New Struts and Mounts Like I mentioned, I've done a lot of work on this 1984 Brat, and it is nearly finished. The only current issues with the vehicle are that the linkage needs replaced to properly shift into 4wd, the speedometer cable needs replaced, and the new carb needs to be adjusted. The interior and exterior could also use a little TLC. This vehicle has a clear title, current registration, current CA smog (within last month), and it is currently driveable in 2wd. Lastly, this vehicle is to be sold in as-is condition with no guarantee or warranty. On a side note, I also have a 1982 Brat that I have been using as a parts vehicle, and I would be willing to sell it as well for a good price. On Nov-29-12 at 12:08:41 PST, seller added the following information: **UPDATE** I just recently installed the new, remanufactured carb that I purchased from recently from an Ebay Store Seller, and it does not seem to be running correctly. I have contacted the seller about the problem, and I may be returning it back to them quite soon. In the meantime, I plan on reinstalling the stock carb that recently passed smog.
