1981 Cadillac Superior Hearse with casket for sale. This vehicle will start and run and is drivable, but needs some work to be road ready. Please view all the pictures carefully and ask any questions you may have. I don't wish to leave any confusion about the condition of this 31 year old unrestored vehicle. The pictures that you see are as it sits now, unwashed and natural. It was repainted by a previous owner, and the work was not done well. There is bubbling and flaking in spots, with surface rust (please check the pictures). The vinyl top was partially replaced, but not done well either. I can feel one rusted spot under the vinyl top that goes thru the metal. The hearse has lots of character and patina that gives it a spooky look, but it is restore-able. All the glass windows are there with no cracks or chips. The air conditioner does not work. The rear view mirror needs to be glued back on. the side mirror adjusters need work. When I bought this hearse I drove it a little over 50 miles home, it ran well with no problems, except there is an exhaust leak that I could smell in the driver compartment, and there is an electric problem that will drain the battery over time. The front tires were bought new last year and have only one or two miles on them. I bought this hearse four years ago to use as a Halloween prop for my yard haunt, but after four years I'm ready to go in another direction. Some of the decorations and props seen in the pictures will go with the hearse as free extras and are not part of this auction. The casket is rusty and has only part of the inner lining. This hearse is sold as is. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick-up. I will need $100 deposit within 24 hours of auction end, and full payment in 3 days along with details of how pick up will be arranged. I will be leaving December 9th. and will be gone for over a month, so please plan to have it moved before then. On Nov-25-12 at 14:45:39 PST, seller added the following information: I drove it a few miles today to check for problems. This is what I found. The motor runs pretty smooth as it is now. It could use a tune up (the check engine light is on), but It is very drivable like it is. The left turn signal wouldn't blink. The wipers wouldn't work. The wiper motor tried to operate but never cycled. The exhaust leak seems to be coming from near the rear instead of at the manifold like I thought before. exhaust was coming up into the driver side rear wheel well pretty strong. Probably entering into the rear compartment from there. I drove it for 2 miles with all the windows up and didn't smell exhaust during that short drive. The engine oil is pretty black and definitely needs changing. The front tires are a year old but still look like new, the rear tires were on it when I bought it 4 years ago but they still look pretty good. Nice tread and no cracking that I could see.
