1970 Plymouth “V” Code 440 HP 6 Barrel Shaker Hood Cuda This 1970 Plymouth 440 “V” Code Shaker Hood Cuda was built at the Plymouth assembly plant in California on February 12th 1970 and sold new on February 19th 1970 at Bishop Motor Sales in Hollister California to the original owner. The Cuda is an original FY1 Banana Yellow/Lemon Twist Yellow Cuda with a Black Vinyl Split Bench Seat with Center Arm Rest. The car is equipped with the “Numbers Matching” 440 390HP 6 Barrel Engine, Matching 727 Torqueflite Automatic Transmission, 3.55 High Performance Axle Package, Shaker Hood, Hood Pins, 3 Speed Variable Wipers, Roof Drip Rail Moldings, Wide Sill Molding, Belt Molding, Quarter Panel Tape Treatment and More. This car has the ORIGINAL FENDER TAG, Original Warranty Paperwork, Original California Blue License Plates, Original Door VIN Sticker and Owner’s Manual. This car is completely disassembled for restoration. The body has been completely stripped of paint and any and all sheetmetal work needed has been completed as shown in the pictures. The car is now ready for finish body work, primer, block work and finish paint. There are numerous detailed pictures of the body which should answer any questions you have about the body. The underside of the car is excellent along with the top side of the car. The original shaker hood is excellent. Please notice the rear valence. This is the correct valence for this car as this car was produced for sale in California which required turn down exhaust tips. The shaker hood assembly is COMPLETE including the original base, seal, shaker, grills and cable. The bumpers are complete with the car and will need re-plated. The car will need a new windshield and rear glass. The driver’s side door glass is missing. The 2 rear quarter glass and passenger side door glass is with the car. The windshield and rear glass trim is complete. The side door glass stainless trim is complete. The rocker moldings are missing. A NICE and complete original 1970 grill is included with the car. The grill is shown in the pictures and is currently installed in my 70 Cuda Convertible. The trunk-lid is excellent. The rear taillights are complete. The front lower valence is in good condition. The doors are excellent and operate correctly. The floor boards and frame rails are excellent. The front radiator support still has the correct numbers stamped along with the numbers stamped on the cowl. The engine compartment sheetmetal is excellent. You would spend $1000’s of dollars getting a Cuda body to the condition of the car. The 440 HP 6 Barrel Engine is the “Numbers Matching” engine and is shown in the VIN stamp picture in the auction. The 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission is also VIN stamped to the car. The 6 Barrel setup has the correct intake and other parts however the carburetors are 1971 dates. The exhaust manifolds are correct however there is no exhaust with the car. The engine and transmission are installed in the car for convenience of transport. The engine and transmission will need to be rebuilt and are not in working order. The suspension is complete and installed in the car for the purpose of transportation. There are 5 correct rally wheels with the car. There are many other mechanical parts shown in the detailed pictures so please review the pictures. The interior is complete but out of the car. REMEMBER this is an automatic transmission on the column car so the original split bench with vinyl armrest seat is correct for this car. This car will need all new soft upholstery seat covers, carpet and headliner to complete the interior restoration. There is a complete set of door panels and other parts. The headliner bows are complete. The COMPLETE and original dash assembly is with the car and still has the original VIN tag still affixed to the original dash pad. Please see the detailed pictures. The original AM radio is still with the car. There are lots of small interior parts too numerous to mention that are with the car.
