I am offering for sale my 1971 Z-28 Camaro. This is a rare opportunity to own a truly one of a kind Camaro! This is a fully documented one owner, factory original Z-28! This car has never been altered, painted, damaged, or restored. I bought the car new in june 1971 from Carpenter's Chevrolet in Durham N.C. After 1974 the car was parked in a garage, and only driven occasionally. I was lucky, the car was never damaged, and only needed minor repairs, most of which were routine maintainence. Over the years I have replaced the water pump (twice), the shock absorbers, battery, fan belt, rebuilt the master cylinder, and replaced some of the carburetor gaskets. Two of the original tires are still on the car. The other two were dry-rotted and I felt were unsafe. They were replaced with two more Firestone "Wide Oval" tires from a '74 Z-28. The spare tire has never been used. The car is not perfect, it was used and enjoyed during the first few years. However, I have always taken care of my toys. It has been well maintained and serviced as needed. It just shows some signs of it's age. The dashboard clock does not run, and the fuel gauge is not working correctly. The paint, which is original still looks good for its age, with age related defects and small areas of surface rust around the rear window and taillights, which I understand is common for these cars. Everything else is what you would expect from a car that has never been restored or tampered with. It runs and drives great, and still gives that same excitement that it did 41 years ago!
