Vehicle Detail
Up for grabs is a car just about everybody wanted and here's your chance. A 1978 Pontiac Firebird that I purchased back in 2007 on Ebay from a car dealership in Alabama (Lee Massey Auto Sales). The guy claimed to have fully restored the vehicle, but this is evidently not true. It runs well, mechanics have told me the the motor is solid. It does run great, a lot of get up and go, which is the reason I'm selling it, not a great deal of fun sitting in traffic with a car like this. However I did get my picture taken every time I drove it. I notice that when I try to put it in drive it takes a second or two for it to go...transmission? Warming up? I don't know. I was told that if I were to invest around $5,000 the car would be pretty cherry, but as I mentioned before, just not practical here in a major city, as the car mostly sits in the garage. The interior looks real nice and has been replaced, all the doors and hoods close nicely, body seems straight. There is some rust issues and a cracked subframe, I believe on the passenger side. There is a little damage to the rear driver's side bumper, the light fixture above the front seat fell off, but I have the part, and the passenger side arm rest needs to be replaced, I have a new one in the trunk just gotta put it on. Current mileage is 79452 and it only had 76155 when I bought it five years ago. I love the car and it breaks my heart to let it go, but I have to be practical. If I were back home in Kentucky this wouldn't be an issue, but emission laws here in California have made owning a older model car more and more difficult, so I'm hoping to find "Goldie" a loving home. Buyer will be responsible for pick-up or shipping and a deposit will be required at the time of purchase with full payment in 7 days of purchase. If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them. Thanks and happing bidding!
