1957 Ford Ranchero,nice ride.Bought car last summer up in Manassas,Va.,drove home.Comes with a fresh 292 cu.in. Y Block,new Holley 4 barrel, charging system- generator,fresh Fomoco rebuilt automatic,shifts smooth,no slippage.Rides,and drives nice.Tires have great tread,but believe they are older tires,not sure how long on car,no dry rot.Car has new upholstery,new head liner,new door panels,new carpet.All lights work,speedometer,odometer function as they should,dash lights work,heater,and blower fan function as they should,fresh air vents and cables work freely,seat adjustment works.Paint is fare,but should be redone to be right.Turn signals work,high/low beam lights work.High beam indicator light,as turn signal indicator lights work on dash also.I was told by previous owner that car was from Arizona originally,and it had been in his garage for the last two years before I purchased it.Fuel gauge works,but may stick once in awhile.Spare tire is behind passenger seat,but needs new tire,bumper jack is behind drivers seat,but the handle/combination lug wrench is not.The bad;driver side rocker panel has a little cancer,but nothing you couldn't fix with a grinder,and welding a metal patch in,passenger side same deal.I think the last time I looked there were two places on drivers side the size of a quarter,or a little less.I haven't seen any signs of bondo.Passenger side has some small bubbles on bottom of rocker.Not sure if it's rust under paint started,or rust under bondo coming back?I've been to busy riding around,enjoying it.I don't care for those old school brakes,and my wife bought me an up grade to convert the drum brakes on the front,to the disc brakes.This is included in the sale.Kit includes,New spindles,new rotters,new calipers,brake pads,brake booster/with new master cylinder,control valve,lines.Stud spacing is as original -5x4.5.New OME hood ornament,and Fomoco plastic tailgate insert,also included.Grill on car is rusted,and have a replacement for it in good condition.Chrome trim on car is nice,but the side moldings don't look to have the right molding clips in places.Not sure about AM radio,my work with a little TLC.Antenna is in a bag behind drivers side set,I removed it so it wouldn't get damage from my car cover. I keep car under car port.Being on the east coast,we get dew at night.I saw a video here a while back,where a guy was selling a car like this.He was using a video recorder,and after he started the car,he reached up and turned the radio on,and I didn't hear anything.He committed that those old radio's had tubes in them,and it takes a while for them to warm up.I guess with all this high technology today,I forgot about our old TV's back in the day,had a bad tube,run down to the local drug store,they had a whole cabinet full of various types of tubes for that purpose.Got two dents,one on right front header panel,from a deer.The other,right rear quarter panel,above rear bumper,there when I bought it.I have a ton of spare parts for a car of this year,even a bare frame,works for a Ranchero,or Fairlane,three complete Y block motors,NOT included in sale.This car will sell itself.Car sold as is,where is,no warranties implied.Not responsible for shipping,buyer pays all fees,and carrier fees.Local pickup welcome.Will work with buyer on making arrangement for pickup.No storage fee for 30 days.Happy bidding,and be well.Any questions e-mail me through EBay.P.S.car DOES NOT HAVE SEAT BELTS,I was told by several people,they weren't standard equipment,and were not install by mfg.You my want to check on this in your state.I haven't had any probles with this in Va.,or NC.
