I have two many Rangers. Get it? Two (too) many. I need to sell one of them before the end of this weekend. This diesel one and a gas one which is listed in my store. This one is rare and collectible. Not fast or luxurious but a small 80's truck with a heavy duty english design mitsubishi manufactured non turbo charged diesel motor in good working and driving condition. This one was manufactured December 1982 making it a very early run Ranger in its introductory year. It was assembled in Louisville Kentucky. The same plant used for the Model T. For a Ranger fanatic or collector really. Daily driver maybe but treat what you have like what it is. I have driven it all over since I have had it but with patience, respect, and always a box of spare parts (included). A 30 year old well taken care of oddity that still gets great fuel economy and is in good condition with neat extras too at a steal of a price is what this is. I paid $3500 for it 18 months ago am including over $2500 dollars in receipts for work/upgrades and am only asking what I paid. Maybe a steal? This feels more than a bargain to me but make me an offer if you cannot convince yourself to buy it now. Some things you won't see in the pictures and videos down bottom are a slight oil pan gasket leak. A flywheel under a new clutch/pressure plate that feels like it needs resurface though it was resurfaced with clutch already. drained and refilled transmission, drained and refilled differential, new brake pads on machined rotors (need caliper grease), new in hood fuel lines, 20% biodiesel regular diesel mix in the tank, and more. Some black smoke at high output and cold start. Good cylinder compression of about 500PSI cold on each cylinder. given smoke, compression, and age I am thinking smoke is injector related. They are due for rebuild or replacement. Lots of documents included for new tires and other work done even old stuff like manual and early dealer's flyer. Below you will find lots of pictures and videos. The carpet was recently removed to be power washed. There are floor pan pictures when it was removed. Clean undercarriage and floor pans.
