1998 CHEVROLET Z71, 4X4, EXTENDED CAB , SOUTHERN TRUCK This truck is a rare find for sure. 99% RUST FREE with ORIGINAL PAINT, I actually bought this from a guys Grandpa 4 years ago. I was originally looking for something more basic, but this truck was just to nice to pass up. I just bought an SUV, however, and something has to go. Almost every option was put into this truck including but not limited to; Z71 offroad package with rancho shocks (still on the truck!!), stiff suspension and heavy skid plate protection. Extended cab with three doors. Champagne Gold truck with professionally painted high end bed topper (has third brake light, is velour lined and compartmentalized with lighting and vented , screened windows, and roof racks.) Interior is beautiful and has 8 way power seat, CD player, PW,PL,PM,TILT, cruise, floor and overhead consoles, leather wheel, dual air bags, and a beautiful carpet. NON SMOKER as well. Rock solid and time tested, the 350 vortex speaks for itself. Burns no oil and runs great (18 MPG on the highway), although it has never been tuned up by me and could probably use one. FYI, I have put less than 4000 miles on this truck in 4 years!! The real duals are mostly still original equipment I think (and in amazing shape), but the mufflers might be aftermarket as this truck sounds awesome. The BEST part of this truck is the fact that it spent much of its life in Texas and only saw a couple of winters up here in Chicago. The last few years the truck has been stored in a climate controlled warehouse and hardly driven. The underside of this truck is rock solid with ZERO rust in the Bed or floors. All the brake cables and lines look great. Under the doors there isnt even surface rust! Rubber Gaskets are supple and intact. The chrome on the bumpers and grill is close to factory perfect. Look closely at the condition of the alloy wheels.......they represent the trucks overall condition quite well. Also has a HEAVY DUTY trailer hitch with wiring. Tires are old but still have plenty of tread. This has been one pampered truck and I know I will regret letting it go. I was told the first owner (who owned it for the most time ) went to Texas every year for the winter and returned to illinois. It still has a Texas service station sticker in the door jam. The second owner kept it SUPER clean and in the garage and I bought it from him. I kept it in a climate controlled warehouse ( as seen in a few of the pics) and put less than 4000 miles on it. Either way, the truck is extremely solid and speaks for itself. Very few Z71's are this clean these days.
