Vehicle Detail
This deal was a year in the making and I can proudly announce that this baby is back in circulation! We folks at CarsandDogs live for these discoveries! And this one is a blockbuster for us. We are doing our best to earn the nick-name Fastback Finders... and here is an unusual one for you. This pony won a lot of races back in its day. The previous owner especially enjoyed racing the big body Mopars. I can tell that he won his share in his fast little Fastback. At some point, a 351W engine had been shoe-horned in to the tight engine bay. The job appears clean and I don't see any cuts in the shock towers or any where else. The engine cranked to life with nothing more than a hot battery and some fresh petrol. I haven't road tested the Fastback and hopefully this week I will shift some gears. This one was a 4 spd at one time I believe since the brake pedal is very small. There has also been some little patches added around the tunnel to shape the tranny shifter. The Fastback has been thru a few paint jobs. I see yellow and white, but I feel that it was originally blue. I'm going to order the Marti and have some information for you car buffs before the close of the auction. By far the most unusual modification is the smoothing over of the roof vents behind the windows. Not sure what the thinking was here but it could be reversed or windows added or just roll with it. Your call. The battery was mounted in the trunk and there is some odd corrosion at the corner of the quarter panel. The quarters do have some rust and the floor boards also have some but nothing like the east coast or anywhere they put salt on the roads. This old Fastback has seen some battles. Are you up for getting back to it?
