Thanks for taking a look at my 97 Jag XK8. I've owned several Jags over the years....and have always loved the way they drive & look. I purchased this Jag as our 3rd vehicle (only 2 drivers in the household)...mostly as my "toy". Even though I had my wife's "O.K" with purchasing...she's now informed me she wants to replace her own car with something new....which means....I need to sell my "toy". Since most dealers won't give a person anything on trades (especially if they are unfamiliar with Jags...which most are)....I'm offering it for sale on e-bay. I recently put in a new water pump, and replaced the Drive Chain Tensioners (which is almost a must on the older Jags between 80-100,000 miles). So....over $2,000 in recent repairs has the vehicle in pretty good shape. The body is in really good condition...but does have a few scratches on the bumper...and a few other minor marks...normal condition for a 15 year old car. No dents. Low Miles only 84,000. The driver side front wheel is making some noises...local mechanic says I need a new lower control arm module (around $300). Wife won't let me fix it....so...just being up front. Noise isn't noticeable when cruising down the road - only when you come to a stop (similar noise to needing new brakes...but that's not what it is). The ABS light comes on occasionally (due to the control arm module needing replaced)...but goes off in about 2-3 minutes 90% of the time. Selling As Is...as I'm not a mechanic and am not going to promise the moon like half of these ads do on e-bay about how wonderful their cars are. Interior....overall good condition, driver seat does show some wear for 15 years...but no major splits or anything like that. I paid $8650 for this vehicle 3 months ago (yes...it's ticking me off that the wife is making me sell)....+ put the $2,000 into it. But....I have set an extremely low reserve...(take a look at Kelly Blue Book Values...and you'll figure out what it's going to take)...just to simplify the process.
