Up for auction is a 1963 Galaxie 500 XL Fastback. The Galaxie is powered by a 390 4V, Holly Carb, and C-6 automatic transmission. The exterior has had one repaint since new changing it from a medium metalic blue to its current vintage burgandy. That was done about 20 years ago according to the previous owner. The car is rust free. No patch panels it is all original sheetmetal, floors, frame, etc. It has dual exhaust. There is a small leak up by the driver side manifold, I believe it to be a donut gasket. The interior is also original with the exception of the carpet and headliner. Also I put a new set of floor mats in it. The seats have some wear spots and the drivers seat has some separation at a seam in the middle (pictured). The dash was repainted at some point. All the glass is good and original. It has an older aftermarket radio in it. The wheels are Boyd Coddington 18x10 rears and 18x8.5 fronts. They are in need of new tires. Not much tread and one has a slow leak. Could get by for occasional summer driving but wouldnt put them on the road for an everyday driver. The car starts, runs, and drives good. Power steering works great. It has 4 wheel power drum brakes that stop the car well. The speedometer bounces around quite a bit but levels off once at a constant speed. The lights work, turns, flashers, etc. Handles good for its age. The odemter reads 32K and I believe there to be original. The previous owner got it with 30K on it and parked it in the garage 20 years ago and only got it out a handfull times. Title reads actual mileage. The paint on the car is old but still shines up decent. It has several chips throughout but still presents nicely as a show and drive or weekend cruiser. Please contact me with any questions.
