Vehicle Detail

This has been my trapping and hunting truck for the past 11 years or so. I bought it in 2001 with about 110K on it and it now has around 135K on the odometer. That's about 2500 miles per year since I've owned it. The previous owner put a lift kit on it so it sits a few inches higher than normal. He added or perhaps bought it with mag rims. I put brand new 235-75R-15 tires on it which are still in decent shape. Many of the miles I put on it were off road in farm fields or on dirt 2-tracks. I added a used, fiberglass cap which goes with the truck. It has a plastic bed liner and spare tire. The previous owner put a Ford factory rebuilt engine in the truck. I don't know why, I only learned of that when I noticed the sticker on the engine block. I've been religious about changing the oil every year (which is only a 2500 interval. It gets driven every day during the late fall and early winter and sparingly the rest of the year. The previous owner put a Smitty-built front bumper/cattle guard thing on it, I assume for looks since he was a school teacher. I added Warne front locking hubs when the front bearings went bad. I had a rebuilt transmission put in a few years ago because the original crapped out on me. I replaced the tailgate with one from a junkyard but I didn't paint it. The new tailgate is gold and since I graduated from Purdue University, the Old Gold and Black are PU colors. New muffler last year. The truck runs great. In the winter, it's often the only vehicle to start and I use it to jump my other vehicles. Doesn't use oil. The body is in rough shape. Rust over the rear wheels. Surface rust on the top of the cab. I'm only selling it because I got a deal too good to refuse on a 4X4 Chevy truck 10 years newer. Interior is in the shape you'd expect on a vehicle of this age and how it was used. I'm trying to be honest. If you want a beater truck to hunt or trap out of, this is for you. If you want a fixer upper, here you go. If you only want it for parts, when you consider the rebuilt tranny, Warne hubs, Mag rims, topper, etc. there's probably $500 worth of parts or more. Edmunds.com lists this truck in this condition at $750 in a private sale. I've got the truck parked out by the road asking $700/OBO. Let's start this auction at $500 and see. The truck is just a couple miles off of I-65 in Indiana about 40 miles south of Gary or 50 miles north of Lafayette.
