Vehicle Detail
I have up for auction a 1946 Chevrolet one ton single-wheel truck. As you can see, it's blue and rust. It was bought new for use on a local chicken farm and later worked for a construction company. It has a pretty darned rotten stakeside bed on it now, but comes with a flatbed from a 1949 advanced design Chevy as well. The flatbed is yellow. This flatbed would fit with slight modification. If the buyer does not want the AD flatbed, that is fine. I am reluctant to remove the rotten flatbed or do too much as I have been advised some people will prefer to keep all the factory hardware (it's a factory flatbed I am told) intact so they can use it if they so desire. Truck does not currently run, but rolls easily and the engine is free. It will need the basic tune-up items I assume (plugs/wires/battery) and a new exhaust/tires. The brakes & lights should also be gone through. I will be glad to provide more info and pictures on request. If you want to call, my phone number is seven 8 five, seven 4 seven, six 8 three three. If I don't answer, leave a message and I will call you back. Truck is sold AS IS and WHERE IS. $100 deposit is due within 2 days and truck must be paid for in full within 10 days unless other arrangements are made. Payment via PayPal accepted for deposit only. I will accept cash for payment as well as a money order/cashier's check/personal check but those three will require a two business week hold for clearance. I will wave the hold time for a USPS postal money order. I can be somewhat flexible on when it must be picked up as needed. I will be glad to make some transfer arrangements if the buyer requires and wants to negotiate that. The truck is in an easy-to-load location just feet off of a paved street. I am waiting for the state of Kansas to mail me the paper copy of the tittle and should have it this coming week. Let's save this hardworking historical beaut from the scrapper! Thanks.
