My car is a very original '66 hardtop coupe, a Georgia car with only 62,300 verified miles and NO RUST WHATSOEVER! About 5 years ago, the original sheet metal was stripped bare, metal worked, and repainted with top-notch PPG paint in the original Burgundy metallic. The paint finish is of the highest standard with very few flaws of any sort. The floorpans and underhood were repainted with a heavier-than-stock coating of an "Emron-like" material. The vinyl top is in excellent condition with all the correct trim. The exterior chrome was all straightened, polished and replated to a very high standard. The interior is mostly original, including the original vinyl seatcovers and the original wood veneer on the dashboard. It features a full console with auto shifter. The factory AC is working fine. The clock and the radio are not working. The engine and transmission are original and numbers matching. The engine has never been out or the oil pan off, but the cylinder heads have been off form overhaul. The carb is correct, but carries a remanufacturing tag. The car was built with steel wheels and full hubcaps, both of which are included in the sale. The Rallyes wheels and trim rings are reproductions, but the hubcaps are OEM originals. The car runs great, but it important to bear in mind that this is more of a cruiser than a hot rod! The 3.23 axle in conjunction with the single four-barrel yields wonderful acceleration, but not in the tire-shredding category! I have posted nearly 100 pix, including the PHS (Pontiac Historical Society) documentation on Photobucket at http://s729.photobucket.com/albums/ww295/jbirdga/1966%20GTO/ and there is a short walkaround video available on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B91VSZkXrk4. The car is properly titled and it is in hand. I will help arrange conventional shipping anywhere in the continental US, but transport is your expense. Upon sale, a non-refundable $500 deposit is immediately due, to be paid within 24hours, and the balance must be paid within 7 business days. If you are serious (and ready to buy) please feel free to e-mail me your questions and I’ll answer them quickly and probably share them with others. If you want to talk, e-mail me your phone number and a best time to reach you.
