Up for auction is a beautiful 3 owner 1983 Mercedes-Benz 380SL in gorgeous Smoke Silver Metallic with Parchment leather. This SL left the Mercedes-Benz production line in Stuttgart Germany in September of 1982, then invoiced to Mercedes-Benz North America where it was sent to a California Mercedes-Benz dealership where it sold for $41,327. In the early 2000's this SL then came to AZ where it resides currently. This is a beautifully maintained SL since new, and has the original owners manual, the Huf factory keys, factory hardtop, soft top, hardtop/soft top key, tool kit, jack and spare tire are all present. It has its original Mercedes-Benz factory Becker Grand Prix Electronic radio with power antenna and 14' polished aluminum Mercedes-Benz Bundt style wheels. Everything works on the car, ice cold A/C, power windows, power door locks, all the electronics and lights, turn signals, reverse lights, fog lights, and license plate lights. This SL was just recently serviced with newer pads,  A/C belt, alternator belt, air pump belt, fan belt and power steering belt just replaced. A brand new exhaust and exhaust hangers were just put on. The car also has a new battery and five brand new tires, new plugs, wires, air filter and miscellaneous hoses just replaced. The leather interior is absolutely stunning! The leather shows extremely minimal wear of any kind, no stress cracks, or any tears, even the Mercedes rear jump seats are in beautiful shape. The carpets are all original and in beautiful shape. The wood grain is very nice, all of the trim, the plastics and chrome are in perfect shape. It even has the original sun visor clips intact and working perfect. The dash is perfect without any cracks.The exterior chrome on the bumpers, the windshield, doors and trunk are extremely nice, all of the black rubber and plastic trim bits are in excellent condition. The hardtop is in beautiful shape, the headliner is near perfect, and all the chrome and glass is perfect. The soft top is brand new and absolutely perfect. The top mechanisms function perfectly with easy opening, unlocking and closing of the top and the hardtop. The paint is stunning with a gorgeous shine to it, as shown in the pictures there are two small chips, one in the front left fender and one in the passenger door. The Becker radio is not currently functioning. There are a couple small little stone chips and one small parking lot ding on the back right fender above the wheel. Overall the car is in outstanding condition, it runs and drives beautifully, it idles superbly, the transmission shifts great, the steering feels tight and precise with no play in the wheel and the suspension feels excellent with no creaks or rattles. The car has never been neglected like many older R107 SL's. Never smoked in, never wrecked or salvaged, box A actual miles. If you are looking for a well maintained beautiful SL this is it. The SL is the benchmark for sports/luxury motoring, whether its with the hardtop on for a coupe' feel or the top all the way down for open air driving these car will never disappoint.
