Offered is an original and unmodified 1980 Honda CBX SuperSport. I am the third owner. First owner was a US Army officer who had the bike for a very short amount of time. It was sold almost new to the second owner who owned, road it rarely, and maintained it in a heated garage until 3-4 years ago when I bought it. Since I bought it I have done some light cosmetic restoration and bought the items shown with the bike. All items shown will be included with the sale. The bike runs like a new CBX. It starts right away (although it is cold blooded when not started for a while), runs smooth, and accelerates fast. Carbs were sync'ed just before I bought it. It has been started and warmed regularly, and had light riding at least monthly. Tires, brakes and all lights work great. Coils and wires were just replaced, originals were cracked. No rust or corrosion. One tab on each side cover is missing. It is held on fine with the two remaining, they can be replaced fairly easily. One mirror mount has a split on the side of the screw seam. Mirror is solid and secure, but could be replaced or just left as is. No rust of any kind inside the tank. Has the older style "cruise control" throttle lock. Accessories include the Windjammer IV fairing. It did not come with the bike, it was purchased locally. Some small dings and scratches, needs a little TLC, but is solid with good wiring. I changed the lock on the right side, so it works and has two keys. The soft cover on the left is brand new, to replace the old one that was worn. The CBX Windjammer mounting kit is brand new. The Windjammer series fairings were all about the same, the mounting kit was specific to each bike. It has never been installed on a bike. For someone looking for a full fairing, it would be a matching and very nice set up. Windjammer's offer lots of wind and element protection. For someone wanting less fairing, the two bikini fairings pictured are included, along with hardware to install. One is brand new (painted and striped to match the CBX paint) the other is pure black and lightly used. They provide a more sporty look while keeping wind off your torso and chest. Original seat is included and pictured. Foam is fine, has one split seam. A brand new seat cover is included from Tim's CBX. The owners manual is included and the shop manual pictured is also included. Rear back/rest rack is included. Tear on the rear storage area of the backrest. The data plate says "1980, made in the USA with US and Japanese parts, and the VIN number". I am not sure just where the engine number is, but it is the original engine, has not been changed or even opened except to do the valves. Has not been in an accident, can verify back to original owner. Also, the exhaust is the original set, no rust or issues. A couple of minor dings, and the slight discoloring at the head pipes.
