Up for sale is this 1988 GMC Sierra 3500, flatbed dually with 5th wheel, 8 ft. fourway Fischer plow. The plow is in great working order (except has no shoes), the transmission and four wheel drive both work fine. Problems with this vehicle are that the starter needs to be replaced, however, we cannot remove the bolts (don't have proper tools) so it has to be pop started. Advanced Auto Parts has the rebuilt starter for $29.99 with the core return. Runs rough, needs tuneup or carb adjustment or 1 1/2 year old fuel. Bought for plowing our driveway but never used as we purchased a newer truck. Haven't really driven it to make any other comments. Decent truck but needs a little TLC. There are four xtra snow tires with no rims in fair to good shape. Down payment of 500.00 is required within 48 hours of winning the bid thru paypal. Will accept balance in cash or money order. Buyer must remove vehicle at own cost, suggest towing.On Oct-21-12 at 12:30:00 PDT, seller added the following information: Since I put this auction on, I did finally get the starter removed and put a new starter in. Now it starts without pop starting. However, I took it for a ride and the brake pedal is soft and I think thre is a leak on the passenger side. The truck does stop the way it is but I put brake fluid in the front resevoir and its empty again.
