1987 Suzuki Samurai 4WD Factory Hardtop SUV This ’87 Samurai came with the non-removable factory steel hardtop, single rear door, two- or four-wheel drive, and factory air conditioning. The body is in excellent condition, with only a handful of small rusted or dented spots in non-critical areas (see photos). There is some front sheet metal damage and the grille is gone, but the front fenders, doors, body, and frame are solid and undamaged. A lower mileage ’91 1.3 FI engine has been installed (transmission, too), but the wiring harness has not been updated. The FI wiring harness is included, so if this engine is retained, either use the newer harness or change the FI unit to an original ’87-’90 carburetor setup. All the air conditioning parts are included, but not all are installed. The radiator is also included—in fact, everything is there except the seats, the front bumper, and the grille. All glass is good except the windshield. There is one nice original wheel/tire, but the others have been replaced with white-spoke 15 x 7 wheels. Suzuki dropped the factory hardtop Samurai from the US lineup in 1989, so this body style is uncommon, but with pop-out rear side windows and air conditioning, it would make a great year-round local cruiser. Plus with the 4WD, it will go just about anywhere, and deliver close to 30 mpg. A full set of factory service manuals is included along with a clear Arkansas title. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping of this vehicle, however if the buyer lives within 50 miles of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
