Vehicle Detail
This is a 1963 Jeep CJ5 that belonged to my uncle since about 1970. It spent most of it's time at a summer camp where it was loved by many. My cousins all learned to drive a clutch in this jeep. In it's later years it was not used on the roads and roamed around the dirt roads at the 70 acre camp and was used to plow in the winter. Needs a new home and someone to give it some attention. We think the mileage is correct -96,000. It had about 60,000 when my uncle bought it in 1970PLEASE CONTACT dneiger1@hotmail.com WITH ALL QUESTIONSHe loves to email so ask as many questions as you likeIt does run and drive but has not been started for a few months. It's a 1963 so be ready to be handy because it will need work. The 4 cyl. engine was rebuilt, I think in the early 80's. Tub was replaced around the same time. Since then the body has been weld patched in several areas. It's got some rust but really not bad for it's age- frame is pretty solid. The plow system is complete and included as are the doors, door tops and soft top. All in usable condition. It was stored in a barn most of it's life and used relatively sparingly and does show it's age but less than most I would say.PLEASE see all the picturesBelow is a list my cousin sent to me ... Rusted on drivers side forward and below door. Drivers side fender dented. Psngr side fender ginched. Small rust hole on floor of psngr side. Frame has surface rust, not compromised. Muffler and tailpipe dangeling from brackets, not attached. New battery. Will not start- no spark Tires ok. Top and doors in good shape, except for small hole on side of top. One headlamp missing, but have replacement in box. Owners manual and instructions for installing top. It's a great old jeep and will be missed by manyA 300 deposit is required within 48 hrs. of end of auction (paypal or overnight mail) and full payment within 7 days of end of auction.
