A very rare Couronne Edition Classic Cadillac Eldorado Here is a very unique special edition Eldorado distinguished by several exterior extras by the E & G Company. It was a special order car and came delivered as you see it from the dealer some 25 years ago. The Rolls-Royce style grille and additional spare tire (pseudo, by the way) on the back of the trunk are the two most obvious features. In addition, she has a stainless steel roof in absolutely perfect condition. I've never seen another one with this top and this makes this Eldorado even rarer! The half carriage top is also trimmed in stainless and upholstered so that the fabric matches that of the tire cover, which as you can see is ringed by a generous chrome band. The original paint is very clean with only the tiniest of road chips evident anywhere. Obviously, this car has always been garaged an maintained. The undercarriage is just as clean and the suspension is tight. Tires have plenty of tread left as well. The leather interior is in exceptional condition as well, with none of the usual cracking and very few creases even in the front seats. The dash is flawless. The back seats are practically like brand new. The only variation in coloration is on the leather steering wheel and this can be easily conditioned and dyed. I just haven't gotten around to it. All the Cadillac features, which were cutting edge back in 1988 work perfectly. Cruise control (with controls in the steering wheel), adjustable timing auto sensor lights and dimming, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, console shifter, instrument cluster that will tell you average mpg, miles left for the tank you're on, and will also switch to metric at the push of a button. in addition, this car actually calls for regular gasoline and averages an easy 24 mpg on the highway while ferrying one along like you're riding on a cloud. Oh, and did I mention you can barely hear the engine inside the car. That's Cadillac comfort and luxury for you! A blast from the past, but not so ungainly as those land yachts of the 1970s. Nada blue book lists this car for $5,575 low, $9,200 average, and $12,000 high retail. This car is certainly above average in condition, plus all the unique features. You won't find another one quite like it.
