for sale my van,the General,year 1985,used to be a regular cargo panel van,last owner used it as a minicamper.I build 3 a-team vans and sold all weeks after i finished them. Had a lot of requests to build more since i gotten pretty good at it,lots of compliments. Checked my shelf,had enough parts there to build one more and here he is,the General, i was tired of the A-team vans and since this was gonna be my last build,i built this one. Had all the parts,now find a van thats still good enough to build a special out of.Not easy, most old cargo vans are scrapped or junk but found this one,in venice,florida,being used as a mini camper.Guy had the engine bored,and some tranny work done so it stays in gears a little longer.Display says its a 4 speed auto tranny.Speedo reads 69400 miles .New radiator and alternator,new tires i did.I have invoices of engine and tranny work.I gutted the interior and made back as cargo,painted the cab in front and put 2 nice captains chairs in it.Also put a new radio/cd player by jvc in it.Stripped the outside of all paint to see if there was rust/bondo damage and there was hardly any,made me happy,good solid van for my project.After paint, mounted a cool pushbar bumper i found here local,mounted new tires on the turbine rims, mounted an antenna and roof spoiler,yes,it has a old dixy horn ;-).Then the runningboards with integrated front airdam spoiler and the louvres for the rear windows.The floors and bottom offcourse rustfree and solid with a new muffler.After all that orderd the decals and put them on.Thats about it,the General. It will need a new battery which i will put in if it gets sold.The reserve will be set in that way,that you cant build it for that money.Its an ac van but ac doesnt work. The latch to open the hood hangs loose and the bar for the sliding side door needs to be extended,now the door wont pass the flare and will hit it.I dont finance, or trade or barter and before bidding,make sure you counted your money and talked to your wife and mother since i dont believe in buyers remorse.I dont give warranty but feel free to inspect the van before buying.500 dollar deposit within 1 hour of auction ends,250 refundable if you show up and dont like what you see,if u dont show up at all,buhbye 500,is that clear? Its a cool van and has no rust issues and pulls a lot of attention and i can have it repainted in a-team van color for roughly 1250 dollars.I have photos of my a team vans and maybe also some photos of the general in the stages before it was painted,have to look.Van does not get used a lot so some minor front brake work might be needed in near future.Weatherstripping of the frontdoors is soso but it comes with 2 new in the box,unmounted.Feeb back has to be left prior or upon pickup,i can assist with delivery after van has been paid for.feel free to call me 727 259 3021,i dont bite unless requested:-),thank you,Paul. ps i dont reveal the reserve this time,but again,for what i need,you cant buy a van and built it. a usuable van 2500,paintwork 2000,wheels and tires and spacer 1500 , my reserve is less then that...oops,i said too much :-),and then all the other options u have to buy,spoilers,runningboards, sunvisor,louvres,airdam,grillguard,etc etc......:-). pps i have a lot more photos,ill gladly email them to you. pps on you tube under paulexports you can see this van in pre-paint stage,called the roadwarrior, also footage of 2 of the 3 A-team vans i build,nothing of number 3 and i cant say why :-). On Oct-14-12 at 07:22:30 PDT, seller added the following information: pic 8 and 9 are the same van,but pic 9 has the home build brushguard added,the finishing touch:-),i build 3 of those brushguards and used them all 3 on my A team vans. pic 7 and 10 are also the same vam,pic 10 is a little cooler with the jet on the inside. Both vans had custom leather interiors,the van in pic 10 was a 7 seater,the van in pic was a 2 seater.
