You are bidding on a 1964 Porsche SC coupe. This 356 was purchased in Florida in 1966 and driven to California in 1967 where it has remained ever since. Recent service and repair include engine out tune with new pressure plate, clutch disc and throw out cross fork installed on a resurfaced and rebalanced flywheel with new flywheel seal and lead gasket. Complete solex carb boil out to the original carbs. Prior to installation new left and new right side transmission mounts were installed. New spark plugs, points, condenser, two new braided oil lines installed as well as oil filter and oil. Valves where adjusted and new valve cover gaskets were installed. Compression reading 160 psi all around. This SC has plenty of power and the crisp syncho rings and new clutch deliver it smoothly to the rear wheels. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity validates that this is a numbers matching engine and transmission to this chassis number. The 356 was originally light ivory with red leatherette interior. Several years ago was painted the sepia brown color it is today. there are a few areas that have paint checking. See attached photos for more detail and quality. More available upon request by interested bidders. Original dry and solid floor pan and longitudinal left and right. Car appears to have had a shunt on the right fender area at one time in its life.
