It is still a beautiful glamour bird, and—in the right hands and with some money put into it—could be a stunning classic. The odometer reads 56,337.8. The title states that the actual mileage of the car is 56,324. All parts that I removed from the car are included in its purchase. They can be seen laid out on a tarp in one of the attached photos. Also included are the original owner’s manual; an additional owner’s manual that I bought because it was cleaner and in better shape; an original 1970 Thunderbird brochure; and a complete set of workshop manuals. I purchased this vehicle a number of years ago with the intention of restoring it back to showroom condition. I started the restoration of the interior, putting in a new electric clock; pulling off the armrest on the driver’s door (a piece on the armrest was broken and it was loose on the door); and pulled off the rear passenger door panel (the window motor was not working). I also found out that the driver’s electric seat adjustments were not fully functional (the seat would go back but not forward). But the body panels all appear to be in very good shape, as well as the interior. All the electrics seem to work fine. Although there are a few buttons missing on the upholstered seats, there are no tears. The foam in the seats is starting to deteriorate and should probably be replaced. The dash is in excellent condition, with no cracks or sun damage. When I got the car, the air conditioner got cold and worked perfectly. While I haven’t started it in three years, the engine ran well up until then. But the oil, gas, points, and plugs should be replaced; whoever buys the car will have to have it flat-bedded away. When the car was delivered, the carrier hit the rear of the car while unloading it and caused a small amount of damage as seen in one of the photos. When I bought the car, I was told that there was no rust on it. However, when it arrived, I found that there was a small amount of rust-through in the trunk, surface rust in the engine compartment, surface rust on the right-side door pillar, and rust on the frame. And the driver’s window and rear driver’s-side window both have vertical scratches along the outsides of the inner edges. The car was kept in a dry storage space for five of the six years that I have had it but has been outside since last year, sitting under a canopy with a car cover on it. Recently, a windstorm knocked the canopy over, causing small scratches to the car in a few places.
