DESCRIPTION 1979 Pierce Fire Truck on a Chevrolet Custom Deluxe 30 4x4 dually chassis, 12,725miles, 4 speed transmission, 4x4, 350 V8 engine, dual rear wheels, Pierce utility bed with a Waterous pump and pumper and controls, etc. This will spray water and foam. We tested the pump, and the water sprays. We were told it hold 250 gallons of water. We do not know how to spray the foam. The light bar works as it should. The multi-function siren and PA is fully functional. This has been owned by the same volunteer Indiana fire department since new. We have the original 1979 Indiana one owner title. We were told by the fire department that owned this vehicle that it was in good working order when it was taken out of service. They told me this pumper truck is made to suction water out of a pond or a lake to fill the tanker. It comes with the suctions hoses mounted on the driver’s side, and the hose on the roof mounted hose reel. I have driven this truck, and it drives great. This fire truck would work great to fight grass fires, show off in parades, or to transport water for livestock or for agricultural purposes. The utility bed could be removed, and it would make a great wrecker, flat bed, or stake truck. To duplicate what this truck will do in a new one would be unbelievably expensive.
