This is a 1966 Pontiac GTO 2 door hardtop up for sale. 2 owner vehicle. 61,000 original miles. This is a project vehicle, but I do not have the time or money to finish it. Pontiac 400 motor with 6x heads and turbo 350 transmission. Originally a factory 389 with triple carbs and power glide which is long gone. Factory air conditioned, power steering, power brakes, column shift and bucket seats. Car runs well and shifts smoothly. All original paint was stripped to bare metal. Car is currently in primer waiting for paint. Original color was cameo ivory with gold interior and beige vinyl top. Will get front end back on this week and will post pics when complete. The following has been completed on car thus far: New spark plugs and wires, new control arm bushings, new front shocks, Grant wood steering wheel, PerTronix ignitor to replace points, removed window tint, replaced rear window panel, replaced center of trunk pan, patched a couple of small holes in floor pan, new body bushings, new core support bushings. Have the following parts, but have not replaced them yet: floor pan drain kit, trunk pan drain kit, roof rail seals, door seals, quarter patch for rear driver fender, trunk weather stripping, battery tray kit, PPG windshield in place, but not glued in. List of what I think the car will need: AC condenser, front turn signal lens, driver's side drip rail chrome (have all the rest of chrome pieces, just not on car currently), GTO emblem kit, front bumper (current is damaged due to improper towing), carpet kit ( have the rest of interior - door panels are in good shape, but seats could use recovering). All rust issues have been resolved with either patch panels or replacement parts (not a bondo bucket) with the exception of the rear quarter patch which I have already purchased. Have pictures to document progress on build since I have started. Do have GA title in hand. Low reserve. Need garage space back and my spare time.
