Vehicle Detail

Probably the most beautiful car ever to come out of the styling studios of Daimler Benz, the W123 coupe is a recognized classic. This particular example is in excellent condition. Finished in Astral Silver with a beautiful blue interior. There are no dash cracks, nor any cracking in the wood console or dash accents. The leather is in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The netting on the back of the front seats is still tight. The exterior is a 9 out of ten. The original paint is beautiful. There is no rust whatsoever. There are a few stone chips on the leading edge of the hood (I tried to show this in the pictures) and a few very, very minor scrapes here and there. Nothing through the paint, and nothing you'd notice if you weren't going over it very carefully. Basically the car shows extremely well given the fact that it has been driven over 100.000 miles. And drive it you can! I just got back from a 1650 mile roundtrip to Quebec City (amazing city by the way) with some of my Mercedes forum friends. The car ran flawlessly. The air conditioning is strong, the cruise works, in fact everything works but the radio. It went bad about a month before I left. I am keeping the original in the car in case someone wants to have it fixed. I have driven the car to Miami twice, and to the beautiful Pinehurst resort in North Carolina once. It is a terrific road car. With the turbo, it cruises effortlessly all day long at whatever speed you're comfortable driving. I have not had one problem with it since I bought it from the second owner in 2006, 15,000 miles ago. It was obviously lovingly care for, although I have no records from before I bought it. As soon as I acquired it, I had it thoroughly checked out by the Mercedes Dealership in Akron which gave it a clean bill of health. I change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. The carfax comes back clean, no accidents or odometer problems. I am a longtime Mercedes Club member, and am active not only in the club but several online Mercedes forums. I collect older Mercedes, but the time has come for me to thin the herd. This is a beautiful car to show or drive daily. This is a no reserve, no "Buy it Now" Auction. Please don't bid unless you intend to buy. A winning bid is a binding contract. I recommend a personal inspection before bidding. For more information, please email me.
