I am re-listing with hopes that people who are truly interested in this car will bid on it. The problems caused by eBay users who place bids to find the reserve on cars with NO intention of purchasing can ruin the auction experience. Please bid only if you are willing and able to complete the purchase! 1988 Ford Mustang SSP. This car is one of the 34 originally ordered for Oregon State Police by Damerow Ford. 17 of the SSP's went to OSP, 14 were sent to Saleen to be made into Saleen Coupes, this is one of 3 sold to private owners. Now, there are some arguments in the SSP community and differences in opinion as to how many cars were actually ordered. There however seems to be no argument that there were only 3 cars sold to the public. I will however let you do your own research and reach your own conclusions on this debate. This is a very rare care never used in Police service. You will see in one of the photos a Damerow Ford Ad from 1988 showing the SSP's they originally had for sale to the public.This is not a copy, I have the actual ad from 1988 that will accompany the car to the new owner. This car is in very nice condition throughout. View all the attached photos and let me know if there is anything else you would like to see. This is a factory radio delete car. No antennae and radio block of plate. Dual remote control mirrors, interval wipers, Tilt steering wheel, rear window defroster, Air Conditioning. This car is completely original with no aftermarket alterations. The paint is very nice. There has been a partial repaint of the front from mid fender over the hood to mid fender. The paint was done by The FoxShoppe Mustang in Portland Oregon and is beautiful. I have the original window sticker for this car. When was the last time you saw an SSP where the window sticker was with the car. It shows the car was originally priced at $12,437.30. The sticker shows DSO 74-005 which is matched by the door sticker and buck tags which are present. It shows the car is a Special Service Package on the sticker. I have a Washington State Emission report dated 8/11/2011 showing the car passed emission. The original ownercard Warranty Identification card is with the card. I have a clear clean Oregon title to the car in my possession in my name. The car starts, runs and drives well. It does have very minor fluid leaks consistent with a high mileage car. However, if you were standing next to this car and looking at it, unless I showed you the Autocheck/Carfax showing the mileage, you would not believe it. The front tires are good, the rear need replaced. The car is located in Turner Oregon. It is available for inspection by appointment. The car is currently only insured for comprehensive and does not have license plates on it. To be driven off my property will require proof of insurance and a trip permit. I chose not to get plates as it was in storage. Delivery to a shipping hub or within 200 miles is available at 1.50 per mile one way from my residence.
