Vehicle Detail
Here is a 1953 Triumph 6t Thunderbird project. This is a matching numbers frame and motor. Bill of sale only. I have not titled this motorcycle and did not receive a title when I purchased it. As you can see it has the rigid frame, sprung rear wheel, motor and transmission with all mounting plates. Includes the correct clutch but is missing the primary chain and the correct engine sprocket. Also includes an original single seat frame and springs. The fenders have been bobbed (shortened). Engine turns over. There are connecting rods mounted to the crankshaft (and wrapped to protect them) but no pistons. The cylinder bore looks good. The cylinder head on the bike is an "empty" head (no valves or springs) that is an iron head and is in very good shape. Also included is a 1951 (I believe) bottom end and another good iron cylinder head that has valves. Includes the Lucas dynamo and a BTH magneto. Could not check the magneto for spark as the high tension pickups are missing. The magneto does not have the gear on the end that drives it. Includes two primary covers. Some of the aluminum engine and transmission cases were chrome plated in the past. Some of the chrome is good and some is not. The kickstart shaft/gear are missing from the transmission (see photo with the cover off). There is also an early lucas stator/rotor that was used in later models of the 6T but does not fit this primary case. It has later 1960's front forks and triple clamps (looks like it needs steering head bearings) and a flat track spool wheel on the front. Includes a late 50's (guessing) Amal monoblock carburetor. Remember that this is a project. Many parts are missing such as the rear brake pedal, all of the cables, the battery mounts/straps, lots of nuts and bolts, all of the wiring, headlight and tail light and horn and so on. No title! E Bay did not have a category for Bill of Sale. Again, there is no title. Please disregard the statment that the title is clear. You will have to go title this yourself. Can be done but just takes time. Just a bill of sale. Actual mileage is unknown so please disregard the E Bay required field that states 100,001 miles. Payment due in full within 7 days of close of auction. The bike does not leave my home until the funds have cleared the bank. No money orders! Certified cashiers check, cash or wire transfer. All transportation/pickup is paid by buyer. Buyer has choices for pickup: Pickup at my home in Huntington Beach, California or arranges all transportation/pickup. I can also deliver this to the Los Angeles Forward Air terminal if the buyer pays/arranges for the metal shipping container through Forward Air. You may want to check with U ship. I could disassemble and send the whole thing in many boxes by UPS ground but it may cost a bundle. Will only charge what UPS charges me. This cannot be sold internationally as you will need a current title to transport this out of the country. Please, if you have any questions, I will do my best to respond.
