1970 Corvette Coupe Thanks for looking. Up for sale is the last of my small car collection. I am the third owner having bought the car in September 2004 with 19,788 miles (*). My wife allowed me to buy myself this 1970 Corvette as my 25 year present. I always wanted a chrome bumper year Vette and I got a good one. I drive the car about 2-3 times a month and maybe a bit more in the Florida winter. The current mileage is 23,646 (*), I see that as 123,646 as the odometer has only the 5 digit counter. The production number and color of the 1970 Corvette is very limited. Few were manufactured and even less were coupe. Believe me, I'd rather have bought a convertible but the price was too high and the wife is nice, not crazy! The exterior color is "Donnybrook Green", interior is also green but not leather. The corvette runs real strong and the M-21 transmission and clutch are in great working condition. I have kept the car mechanically sound and up to date. No modifications, no add-ons or non-original parts except for the plug wires (I have the original metal sleeve type and the exhaust system, now has a complete Magnaflow) some specific details below: Big Block 454 /390 HP LS-5 4-speed M-21 transmission Seat belts, lap and shoulder Power Steering Power Brakes 90% tread on tires No trim pieces missing Lots of power and torque All lights in working order including the console optics Suspension bushings replaced Power steering components replaced Vacuum system rebuilt and all headlights/wiper door in working order New date code correct Quadra-jet carburetor. ($1,200) Items that need attention Some scratches on the hood (minor but there) The motor will smoke after sitting for weeks, then it's fine. Radio, original works when it wants to All a/c components are there as original but the fan does not blow. Could be the fan motor or something else? It's been a great car over the years and I've always enjoyed the driving.
