Vehicle Detail

I am listing this car with no reserve! Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a beautiful 1987 Buick Grand National with 113,000 miles on the original engine. The valve springs have been replaced by a set from an LT1, aside from that it is all original. I purchased the car in 18 months ago in Orlando, with 85,000 original miles. It has been a central Florida car for its entire life, until I brought it home to Tulsa, OK. Since I have owned it, it has been garage kept. This car has no rust. This car pulls hard, shifts firm and is incredibly fun to drive. It also gets an amazing 23 mpg on the highway and around 17mpg in town. I have installed 3 different aftermarket body bracing kits, these stiffen up the car, which allows it to handle better in corners. I put 17 inch wheels and wider tires on it as well, these not only increase the handling but help with traction quite a bit. The methanol injection kit allows you to run higher turbo boost without any chance of damaging the engine. The turbo has an adjustable waste-gate, which allows you to set the turbo's boost to whatever setting makes you smile and there is also an adjustable fuel pressure regulator so you can tune the car for the best performance possible. You can do all of this yourself if you want or you can pay someone to tune it for you. The point is that all of these tools give the the ability to make your car run like, well, a finely tuned machine. I have driven it on multiple road trips all over the U.S. with the longest being over 3,000 miles. It has also been my daily driver, except in bad weather, for the last 18 months. I bought this car because I wanted to drive it and it has all the upgrades necessary to make it extremely reliable and fun to drive. These upgrades include but are not limited to: Scanmaster 2.2 - Diagnostic tool - this computer has a small display that shows the readings from every sensor in your engine in real time and if you should ever have a check engine light, it tells you what the engine malfunction code is. No need to pay a mechanic hundreds of dollars to tell you what is wrong with the car. Powerlogger - Scan Tool - this amazing tuning tool allows you to connect any laptop with a USB port to your car's computer, it allows you to record 1/4 mile passes, 0-60 time and tune you car for the best performance possible Duttneck Modified Intercooler LS1 Style Mass Air Flow Sensor and Harness LS1 Translator New Coil Pack New ECM New Spark Plugs New Vacuum Check Valve New 10.5 mm Spark Plug Wires 60lb Mototron Injectors and Matching Extender Extreme Computer Chip 60lb Commander Chip Auto Meter temp Gauge Red Armstrong XP Plus Fuel Pump New Ignition Module Hotwire Ignition Kit Razor's Methanol Injection Kit - Installed by Razor Himself! These are just the things that I have found receipts for so far. I have a 2 inch tall stack of receipts that come with the car. Everything on this list was done in the last 2 years. I HAVE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN $20,000 - $25,000 INVESTED IN THIS CAR AND THAT IS MOSTLY PARTS AND DOES NOT INCLUDE ALL OF THE LABOR. I had planned to keep this car forever, so I did everything it would need to be a great car for the next 25 years. Unfortunately, things happen. I find myself in a situation where I have no choice but to sell the car in order to pay some bills and try to keep a roof over my family's head. I would not hesitate to hop in this car with my family and drive it from coast to coast tomorrow. This car is turn-key and ready to drive all day every day. It starts the first time, every time and will sit and idle in bumper-to-bumper traffic in the 110 degree Oklahoma heat without ever getting anywhere near overheating. If you are looking for a 100% perfect show car, you will need to invest some time and money to get this car to that point. Even though it isn't perfect, it still draws a large crowd at every show I take it to, about 7-10 per month. People are usually shocked at car shows when I tell them it is my daily driver. The paint is 8/10 and gets compliments at every show. It has some chips and scratches but it shines up really well. If you want to return the car to stock, it comes with the original turbo and the original stereo. Both of them worked perfectly when removed.Unfortunately, I do not have the stock wheels, but you can pick up a nice set online. I am also including a 1987 Chilton repair manual, an original sales brochure from 1987, Volumes I&II of the Kirban Performance Tips and Resources Guide, a Turbo Buick Engine Guide, a History Channel DVD about the Grand National, 6 various sized models and a build sheet that I found under the carpet a few months ago. Here are the only issues that I know of - The A/C needs to be charged. The lines were leaking, but I just replaced them with brand new lines. I just haven't had a chance to get it charged yet. The front right wheel has some curb rash. The power antenna works, but the cap part that goes on top is missing. I have no idea where it went or how much it costs to replace it. I just noticed it was missing a few days ago. I LOVE THIS CAR!!! I really hope that the car goes to someone that will drive it and appreciate it for the amazing piece of machinery that it is.
