1984 Pontiac Fiero Indy Indy 500 Special Edition Manual Transmission 5764 ORIGINAL MILES Amazing Condition! DESCRIPTION Hello Everyone,Up for sale is a very nice 1984 Pontiac Fiero. This is an amazing car with only 5764 original miles. I bought this car in 2007 with 5713 miles, it had been sitting in a barn in Kentucky since 1986. In fact, I still have the KY title that was printed in 1986 showing 5708 miles, which was the last time the car was tagged/registered. Title is clean and clear. Indy Limited Edition, #410 Manual 4 speed transmission 2.5L Engine Glass Sunroof, Removeable Power Mirrors Special Gray Leather / Red Combo Interior Speakers in headrest Power Windows AM/FM Cassette Stereo Leather Steering Wheel Air conditioning (probably needs charged)After I bought the car, I did quite a few maintenance and tune up items to get the car running properly, most was done in November 2008. * new optima red top battery * oil change w/ Filter * spark plug change * new spark plug wires * new distributor cap * new distributor rotor * new air filter * replaced old tires * new fuel filter * new PCV valve * coolant flush / new coolant hoses * new Oil Pressure Switch * new Master clutch cylinder * new Slave clutch cylinder * bled entire clutch setup using Archie's extra slave bleed tip. * new Gas tank hoses (3 small ones) * new Fuel Pump * new Fuel Pump Strainer * Painted Gas tank while out.The car is one of only 185 manual transmission Indy fieros documented on www.fieropacecar.com. From what I researched, 2000 Indy replicas were made, but only about 250 had the manual transmission. Of those, most have been driven and are in poor condition, high miles, etc. This is truly a remarkable find!I've had at least a dozen Fieros, including another Indy, a Mera Clone, one with a Northstar V8 conversion, and other with a 3.8L Supercharged. I love these cars, and this one is my absolute favorite. I had planned literally to keep this car forever, but life has changed, and now it must go. I'm a single dad with 2 small children, and I've moved to Atlanta to obtain my doctorate so we can all have a better life. I no longer have the big house (or the 4 car garage to store this car in). I don't have the time to enjoy it, and it pains me to see it outside instead of in a nice garage. It's time for a new owner to enjoy it...I take the car out for a short drive about once a month to the carwash in my apartment complex to clean it's exterior, so it gets started regularly. The battery is in good condition (it should be, the Optima Red top is $150) and starts the car every time.This car is clean enough to be museum kept, or in a private collection. However, at the low price this car is being offered for, you could drive it for 50-60k miles and still have a low mileage Indy Fiero, without losing hardly any of it's value! You may notice the a-pillar cover is missing in the photos. I have it removed as I was going to replace the headliner...but never got around to it. I will replace the headliner at no charge if the bidding exceeds $6000, and either way I will put the a pillar cover back in place.I've taken approximately 40 hi-res pictures to document the condition of this vehicle.
