Every once in a while my buddy Steve decides to build himself the coolest car on the planet. He is one of those guys that just knows what to do to totally trick out an already legendary vehicle. In this case Steve picked out one of the grand icons of off-road, a classic Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. These little collector jeeps have become the rage over the past several years and no wonder; they are the Billy Goats of off-roading with the reliability that is only Toyota. These motors are considered the best engines ever built anywhere at anytime. When you need them they always pull through. Okay, this Black Beauty is not a fashion statement... or is it. It is a vehicle - a utilitarian tool to maximize your experiences in the outdoors. Sport Utility Vehicles have all but lost their usefulness. That’s why Steve built this classic beauty. These Classic Land Cruisers were a product for those who resisted commoditized mass production goods in favor of a hand crafted Japanese built product of distinction and quality. These are an experience for people who feel the thrill of a classic design blended with amazing off road capabilities and fun. This vehicle has spent most of its life in Southern California and has only traveled 72K miles. There is ZERO rust in this FJ with a beautiful undercarriage and laser straight body. Mechanically the FJ has no issues, with a recent top-end rebuild the car runs smooth and flawlessly. It handles and drives straight down the road. All gauges and lights work along with a brand new heater core to keep things cozy if you are in a cold environment. A set of Brand New Remington Tires come with the vehicle and should last a long time. The car brakes hard and fast with the 4-wheel drum set-up.
