On Sep-03-12 at 12:12:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Dear Dreamtruck1, Can you send pics of underside to xxx@yyyyyyy.com? Do you have a buy it now price or are you waiting to see how the auction pans out? Does the car start? You said ignition is shot? - yesrocks Answer: Dear yesrocks, hello. the grand prix starts first time every time, runs excellent, and the 389 cubic inch /325 horse engine is strong. the description in the auction tells all about how it runs and how i have taken it to local shows etc. in fact i had the car to a local car-night at the stuart's root beer here in town tonight, and people were all over this car. the ignition, cap, rotor, wires etc. are all fresh. i mentioned in the auction description that the starter key, trunk, and door locks don't have keys. i purchased the new locks and keys and they are included in the sale. i do not have a buy-it-now price. the car is for sale locally for $5900. i can add a buy-it-now option if someone contacts me and we discuss the possibilities of price and payment. the underside of the car is clean, and shows original undercoating and normal surface oxidation on exposed metals. she is a solid survivor car, and i drive it every chance i get. i will send you zip folders with extra pics shortly. thanks, ricky - Dreamtruck1 On Sep-03-12 at 12:17:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Question: Dear Dreamtruck1, Rust issues?- classiclover007 Answer: Dear classiclover007, hello. thanks for asking a question about the 66 grand prix. the body and frame are both in outstanding condition. i have two zip folders with close-up pics of the body and underside of the car which are available to any person who sends a request with an e-mail address. the pics will help you evaluate some minor surface rust blemishes representative of a car of its age. for example there is a small area on the top of the rear driver side wheel well worth mentioning, but no major rust-through to speak of. thanks, ricky - Dreamtruck1 On Sep-05-12 at 17:35:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear Dreamtruck1, I am letting you know that I have a set of fender skirts that are all original to that car for 125.00 set. I also have the vacuum trunk release switch for remote trunk opening. It is fairly rare part and is in really good condition 100.00 If the new buyer seeks these paRTS can you kindly let them know. I will let them both go for 200.00 Thanx Ken- goodiebox Dear goodiebox, hi ken. thanks for your interest in the 66 grand prix. the last couple pictures show the car with and without its fender skirts. i will post this message for anyone who may be interested in your parts. thanks, ricky. - Dreamtruck1 On Sep-05-12 at 17:52:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear Dreamtruck1, could i see the other pictures thank you and do you have the fender skirts is it original paint seems awfull striped in pictures. - gurga1 Dear gurga1, hello. thanks for your interest in the 66 grand prix. the fender skirts are currently on the car. the pics show the car at the country club without the skirts, then on the grass across from my house without the skirts, and finally in my driveway, (all pics taken the same day), with the skirts on. i don't know the actual history of the paint, but it appears to be the original color, but repainted and touched up in some areas over the 46 years. the previous owner was a GM mechanic from virginia. the car has not seen alot of bad winters, and it shows in the nice condition of the frame. i will follow up with pictures, just send me a valid e-mail address. thanks, ricky - Dreamtruck1 On Sep-06-12 at 21:13:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear Dreamtruck1, hey there if possible please send more pics hopefully of under carriage..also rust issues??any other comments welcome..motor etc where are you located exactly.. thank you for ya time and reply kevin my email xxxxxxxxxx.com or thru ebay fine tks ag Dear kevmoe360, hello. thanks for asking about the 66 Grand Prix. the car is located in Tuckerton, NJ (08087). i drove it to work today. the route starts with a 6 mile drive along a winding road and onto 20 miles of the Garden State Parkway, then onto the Atlantic City Expressway 6 more miles to my destination outside Atlantic City, NJ. the car drives great in all situations and climbs quickly and effortlessly to highway speeds, cruising smooth at 70 mph. the power brakes are new and stop quick and straight. this car is all there, with only a few small areas which would need attention for rust. the underside of the doors show a little browning. the driver wheel well has a patch on the top about the size of a fifty cent piece which has not gone all the way through,(the pics show it). the passenger door has a somewhat ugly repair right by the door handle and surely needs to be fixed before paint. the headliner flaps a little in the wind with the windows down, and as i said in the auction it needs to be replaced. mostly little stuff, and nothing wrong with frame, floorboards etc. the previous owner is an older guy who is a career Gm mechanic. he did extensive maintenance and service so he could drive the car whenever he wanted. his dealership allowed him to keep the car securely on the property, so the car had to be kept in running condition so it could be accessed and moved as needed. its a nice low mileage survivor car that has never been messed with in its 46 years. i am selling to buy a classic truck. i will send pics from my other e-mail shortly. hope this helps. thanks, ricky - Dreamtruck1 On Sep-10-12 at 15:14:23 PDT, seller added the following information: Dear Dreamtruck1, Hi, i am interested in the car, but wanted to get an idea of what you are looking to get for it. i am in audubon nj and can take a look at it, but first wanted to get an idea of the price range. i miss that it does not have that gauge cluster, thats my favorite part of the 64 grand prix. feel free to give me a call at xxx-xxx-yyyy. thanks steve- spacerat137 Dear spacerat137, hello. the car is in tuckerton, 08087. the car is for sale locally and i have it on craigs list for 5900. the ebay auction reserve is slightly less. you are welcome to stop by and check it out. thanks, ricky. - Dreamtruck1 Q: It looks like the reserve price has been met, so this is definitely selling this time around? --JB Marlton NJ 08053 Sep-15-12 A: Hello. Yes the reserve has been met and we expect it to sell. It's available to be seen locally since you are nearby. Ricky Q: I do realize that this is a 66. i had a 64 and loved the interior, but like the design on the 66 better. its the exact color i want too. i saw you have it priced at 5+ in the messages below. i would like to see it if possible. if you have time this week let me know. thanks again. steve Sep-10-12 A: hello. the grand prix is available for you to see any afternoon. let me know what works for you. thanks, ricky
