Let me share a little about myself so you know who you are buying from first. I am a 49 year old father of three, and grandfather of two, that has been in love with cars since I was 5! My first car was a Mustang pedal car that Santa brought me in 1968. I was hooked!!! I have had hundreds of cars in my 34 years of driving ,and I have sold thousands since entering the car business 23 years ago. My passions are people and cars,what a job to have! After years of running successful new car dealerships for other folks, my wife and I decided to change our lives and open our own family owned and operated dealership to sell cars. We opened our dealership in our hometown in 1999,and we now operate it with our 3 sons and our daughter in law. It is truly a family business we all have a hand in operating. Depending on when you come in you might even find my 18 month old grandson here helping me drive my golf cart around the 8 acre property the dealership sits on.:) We have sold dozens of cars,trucks,motorcycles,collector cars,sports cars on ebay. So, now that you are aware of what kind of guy I am, let me tell you more about the van. I wanted a van to go on some summer vacation trips and road trips with my family. After being picky and looking at several and not quite finding what I was searching for, I decided to widen my search a little more and I came across this van being offered by a retired couple. I called them and they agreed to meet me that day after church. My sons and I drove to their home and met them and took it for a drive through town and on the highway. We loved it! We were looking for a low mileage, well kept van in solid mechanical condition. We wanted one that our family of 7 could travel in comfortably and relax in style while doing so. We felt the van met all our needs and we completed the purchase and brought it home after a return trip to get the title and lien release from his bank on the following Tuesday. We will transfer the clear title to the next owner at the time of delivery of the van. No waiting for it. After we got the van home we had it washed,detailed, greased and changed the oil with a proper change of 5w20 oil. I had full synthetic oil specified at the time of the service. The previous owner told me he had been using it too and I believe it to be superior oil. We have used the van over the Memorial day Holiday, 4th of July, road trips to Churchill Downs,and Louisville Ky., along with boys weekend long road trips to car and gun shows. We have used it on Labor Day weekend,and on various weekend excursions to wineries. It would make an excellent tailgate machine,but we have not had the cahnce to do that! Maybe you can do that for us and let us know how much you enjoyed using it! We have had zero issues with it,and it is more comfy and roomy to use than my Escalade! The only reasons we are selling it are that my family and I have decided to finally take the plunge and buy a class A RV to take family trips in. We just added another grandbaby,and we want to be sure to have seat belts for all 8 of us. The van will belt a total of 7. We need 8... This van would make your family an excellent machine to use for years to come with its extra nice features and it's extra low mileage. The van has only got 65k actual miles on it !!! Here are some of the features the van is equipped with. It is equipped with a 5.4 litre Triton V8 engine and automatic OD transmission. It is a smooth and powerful package. When you are hauling a load of passengers,the larger,more powerful engine is the one you want. If you have driven a full size van with the smaller 4.6 V8, you probably wished for this 5.4!! I just installed a BRAND NEW set of alloy wheels and center caps to compliment the looks of the van. You will get the original set of factory wheels at no charge if you want them. The originals are undamaged,I just wanted to dress it up and I had these new wheels installed. It deserved a nice set of wheels to add some pizzazz and I think they are a compliment to it. The van is riding on a nearly new set of matching Michelin tires that all match. You just cant beat a set of Michelin tires for a quiet ride,comfort,safety,and long life. These are nice! The exterior is a nice tan metallic color with a nice set of accent stripes complimenting the exterior. I used to sell dozens of conversion vans yearly and the lighter colors are much easier to keep clean as they don't show dirt, and they are cooler too as they don't absorb heat as much as the darker shades do. These are vehicles with large bodies and you will enjoy washing it less often with a lighter color exterior! The paint is in very nice overall condition with no rust evident anywhere,and a nice shine to it. The van is a 2003, so I will be sure to point out that it does have a ding,dent,scuff etc. on it,but overall I would call it a 9.0 to 9.5 This particular van is also equipped with an engine oil cooler,transmission cooler,and power steering cooler. These items enhance the longevity of the engine in hot weather or in a elevated climb, or in a towing situation. This van has never been used for towing as it has no hitch installed on it. I was happy to see that it had not been used for towing! If you want to add a hitch,all the other trailer towing options are already in place to allow you to safely tow with the van. I can even help with recommendations if you need any on towing,etc. The van is also equipped with a 3.55 limited slip rear axle to enhance traction on slippery surfaces or on wet or snowy conditions. It also has a 35 gallon fuel take for extended trips on the road. I have averaged 17 MPG on trips full of folks,cargo and A/C running. It is very fuel friendly for it's size and capacity. The exterior of the van also has full length running boards on both sides with integrated steps with steel braces for support underneath. These are in over all nice shape with some minor peeling at the edges in a few spots. They are not in my opinion in need of a repaint. They are fiberglass, cant rust, and have been touched up. If it were a 2012 model van,maybe I would repaint them,maybe not. There are a few small stress cracks, but again,nothing needing replacement. The steel bracing structures underneath are all very solid, and they hold my full weight with no issues.(275#) You might not even notice them,but I wanted to mention it to be thorough. The glass is all very good with no cracks,breaks,webbing etc. The van has a very nice leather interior in it as well! It shows only a small area of wear on the edge of the drivers seat. It is not through the leather cover. The seats are all very comfy and the drivers seat is a power operated model. It is quite comfy on long trips with lots of adjustability. The middle rows are also captains chairs,and they are also adjustable for many positions and also are equipped with child seat tethers for safety. The rear seat is a POWER FOLDING leather couch that folds down into a bed. The boys have snoozed back there on road trips many times!! It is adjustable in angle so you can partially recline it if you choose to without going all the way down.Very handy,and some of the rear folding sofas are either all up or down.Not this one,you choose where to stop reclining it! The steering wheel is a leather covered style for a comfy grip and stylish too. There is also a nice factory stereo and CD combo up front for your listening enjoyment. The van is also equipped with a 10 speaker sound system to enhance your audio experience whether you are listening to the stereo, CD, or watching a DVD on the TV, or playing video games on TV! You can ride in peace and quiet when the kids are playing video ganes in back with their headphones on and its nice and quiet up front! They will be content and you get silence! I have had my local electronics specialty shop install a new 1200 watt inverter to power all the electrical devices you might decide to use on a trip. It will power microwaves, small fridges,coolers,video games,vacuums,coffee makers, blenders,hot plates, computers etc. The inverter is wired directly to the battery with all new heavy cables and gives you lots more electrical capacity to use as you see fit. The van has a DVD player installed, (see movie playing in pics) and there is also a station prewired to semi permanently mount other video and audio sources under the passenger seat up front. My sons have always decided whether they were bringing xbox or ps3's along and just used their home editions. You can of course mount one of your own and leave it in the van,we simply chose to keep ours portable..Thye van comes with 2 sets of headphones for use,and of course you can add more. The van is equipped with a large color monitor that works perfectly.Im sure your kids will like it! The van is equipped with a dual a/c and heat climate control system,and it is all in fine working order with all fan spees and temp controls in fine working order. You can keep cool or warm as you see fit with many vents and registers to direct the air where you want it . The van is a non smokers van and appears to always have been. The original Ford lighter has never been used, and I am a non smoker with a sensitive nose. It smells fresh and clean. Every window in back also is equipped with pull down privacy day shades that keep out the sun and help keep the temps lower too. They all work and all are in nice shape. They also help you to be able to watch the TV in the daytime. You can also use them to shield prying eyes from your interior contents. The van is also equipped with ABS brakes for safety,as well as airbags too. All the options such as power windows,lockss,tilt,cruisecontrol work as they should along with every additional interior switch for the map lights,mood lights, overhead reading lights etc. Every single one works! There are remotes for the TV and the DVD player too. They are included with the van. The van is equipped with a keyless remote unlock fob,and it is also equipped with a Remote starter function. Start it from your couch with the push of a button! It comes with matching floor mats made from the same high grade interior floor carpet covering. The carpet is nice, the walls are nice,the cieling is nice,the wood trim is nice. The only negatives are the slight tear on the back of the front passenger seat(see pics) and a small one inch tear in the fabric of the interior on a back door. Never seen in back of van. The van is ready for any road trip you want to go on right this minute. You can fly in here from Alaska or Key West and drive it home! We can pick you up at Lambert St Louis airport and bring you here to pick it up at no charge. You can drive away with full confidence,it needs nothing. It has been mechanically checked over from stem to stern for me and my family and now its ready for you and yours.You can drive anywhere in confidence!
