Vehicle Detail

The time has come to sell my 78 Mach1. I've had this car since 2006, but I just haven't had the time to do anything with it in the past few years and now I am moving and can't take it with me. Details... 78 Mach1, V6, C3 trans, california car. Built in San Jose, and all 4 previous owners lived in CA. 172k miles. The car is very original, including original paint. It has NO rust, anywhere. It has a few dings and dents, which I chose not to do anything about because of the original paint. I have been in contact with all previous owners except the original owner (which is believed to be deceased), so I have history on the car. I do know the front bumper and RF fender were replaced when a moving truck backed into the car when one of the previous owners had it. I purchased the car in 2006 running and have driven it. It had a bad miss and I pulled the heads and found the common 2.8 cracked heads. I have one fresh head for it, and have a source for a second one if the new owner chooses to obtain a second head. The top end is off the motor. I have all the parts boxed. The battery tray is solid, no rust or rot. The interior is all original, and has average wear and tear. The trim on the side of the car was a dealer installed option from 1978. I have a deluxe marti report for the car. It is one of only 123 Tangerine/black interior Mach1s for 1978. The car has also been photographed by David Newhardt and is supposed to be featured in an upcoming Mustang book of his (I have signed photos of the car from him). I also have been collecting many NOS parts to replace what's been changed on the car over the years. These parts include: battery duct, ignition coil, fuel pump, rad cap, spark plug wires, both battery cables, trunk seal trim, rubber floor mat set, lower rad shield ("mini spoiler"), dist cap and rotor, VV carb rebuild kit, coolant hoses, green top battery, rocker arms/shafts, front bumper trim, shifter bezel, battery hold down, correct catylitic converter, and a once in a lifetime find... an NOS one piece full exhaust (as installed from the factory, not piece together parts as you'd buy from the Ford parts counter). Please read the following terms of this auction CAREFULLY!! TERMS OF THIS AUCTION The bidding auction is for the CAR ONLY, and does not include the above listed NOS parts. The $3500 Buy It Now is for the car PLUS the NOS parts. The reserve is for the car only and is much lower than the Buy It Now. However, if the reserve is met and the bidding goes past $3500, I will include the NOS parts with the car if the winning bidder want them. The car is located near Daytona florida. Local pickup only. I currently have it covered in a storage unit (the wrapped thing laying on the hood is the unbolted antenna) If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at powersurgeperf@aol.com.
