Vehicle Detail
1979 Cadillac Seville with a rare and very striking color combination, silver blue body with blue vinyl roof and pale blue interior. 96, 600 miles (less than 3,000 per year). This car has been babied all its life and it shows and drives as a 2-3 year old car. It is in spectacular condition throughout with factory sunroof, digital am/fm radio (no pixels burnt out on display & tape player works), and power reclining passenger seat. Truly an exceptional car which can only be described as very elegant. She gets compliments every time I take her out and Valets and car wash employees cannot believe the condition of the car. The car has always been maintained to a high level and has a ton of receipts for work done over the years to maintain her in top notch condition. Recent $1200 in maintenance which included rebuilding rear brake calipers and new alternator, she has just completed a 600 mile trip with no issues. The brake pads are near new as is the battery. The car has never had nor needed an engine rebuild (burns no oil), has plenty of power, and the trouble prone fuel injection has been replaced with an Edelbrock 1406 4 BBL Electric Choke carburetor. The radiator was replaced (not recored) 30,000 miles ago and she never overheats, even in the hot Las Vegas summers. The air conditioning blows ice cold and the heat functions as it should. The self-leveling rear suspension works as it should. The interior and trunk are in excellent condition, with no wear showing on the pedals or steering wheel, all power options work as they should (including the power antenna, which was rebuilt last year). The carpets show as new and the seats are soft and supple leather with no tears or rips. All door panels are in excellent condition, the driver’s door arm bolster has been replaced and has a ½ inch crack which is not noticeable to most people. The dash is in excellent shape with no cracks or blemishes, as is the steering wheel. The pale blue interior really sets off the chrome and makes it glisten. The trunk shows as new and has the Cadillac rubber mat. There are absolutely no stains on the pale blue carpet in the trunk, evidence of the care this car has received over the years. The car has always been garaged and there is no sun fading on the interior or the vinyl roof. All chrome presents itself as it came from the factory with no crazing or pitting, the glass is in excellent condition and the fillers, even the one under the gas cap, are in excellent condition. This has always been a West Coast car and there is no body or underside rust, and never has been. The wheel wells and engine bay are very clean. The paint has been resprayed several years ago and is very glossy, with absolutely NO parking lot dings or dents. The paint can best be described as a good 1 to 2 footer, there are minor imperfections that are not evident until you are 1 to 2 feet away. The hood is very slightly oxidized but is not evident to most people (I am described by my friends as a PSOB, Picky son of a B……). The Wire Wheel Hubcaps are in very good condition with a couple of places of curb rash on them, but nothing that detracts from their beauty. “BlueBelle” as we call her, is a joy to drive and exhibit to other Cadillac enthusiasts, we are only selling her to make way for another antique car and will be sad to see her go. Hagarty Classic Car places the value on this car at $6400 to $9200, representing a condition 3 to 2, this car is a strong 3 and nearly a condition 2. Nada Value on the vehicle is $9100 to $11500, based on average retail to high retail selling price. With proper care and maintenance, you should be able to enjoy her for many years and see her value appreciate as Cadillac Seville’s are undervalued in the current market. We have a low reserve on her, please contact me for a buy it now price. The car is also for sale locally and we reserve the right to withdraw the listing in the event of a local sale. We have the car insured through Hagarty and as an antique car our insurance is under $200 a year. We have her clear title on hand for transfer to the new owner. Of course questions always arise as to any leaks on a vehicle, her sunroof does not leak, even when going through the car wash but will eventually need to have the seal replaced ($200) and she doesn’t leak oil but has two oil “seeps”, one from the main seal and one from the transmission which she has had since 1998, they each deposit approximately 1 drop of oil a month on the white paper mat under her and this amount hasn’t changed over time and we never have to add oil to either the engine or transmission between her 6 month maintenance/oil changes. The power steering pump does not leak. The cruise control was not hooked up when the new carburetor was installed. Maintenance wise, the Seville’s are relatively inexpensive to repair in comparison to many luxury cars as the parts are interchangeable standard GM-Delco Parts. Please enjoy the pictures, and if you have any questions please send through the listing or you can contact me directly via phone, Steve at (702) 436-6173. **** CONDITIONS OF SALE **** I take pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However, auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer, and you are the winning bidder, please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer, you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. Your bid can not be subject to anything. A $500.00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so, if all the funds are not received as outlined above, I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract, I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. To be clear, if you change your mind for ANY reason and do not complete the transaction in the time-frame required, you will forfeit your deposit. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. Unless specifically stated, the car is not of show standard but of nice "driver" condition. This is a 33 year old car which is predominantly comprised of 33 year old parts. Buyers must understand and expect that things can or will wear out, break and/or stop functioning without notice. This is the nature of any classic car. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. If any aspect of the description contradicts what can be seen in the photos, then the photos shall prevail as the reference point. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness, unforeseen imperfection, defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any written or oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age, in most US states, the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown and accepts no responsibility for any discrepancy with independent reports such as Carfax, AutoCheck, etc. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage, transportation, or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end, a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also, you must remember that this is a classic +/-25 year old vehicle, and while it is up to you, I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”until you have familiarised yourself with the car. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, CONTACT ME BEFORE YOU CONTEMPLATE DOING SO AS, RESPECTFULLY, THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
