I am selling my 81 VW Rabbit diesel. This is a beautiful car that has had nothing but TLC for it's entire life. I purchased this car 5 years ago from a retired couple who simply pulled it behind their camper up and down the California coast. This car has no rust at all. It has led a charmed life and has less than 150,000 driven miles! Since buying this car and towing it back to NC, I have changed front and rear suspension, brakes, tires, wheel bearings, glow plugs, battery, timing belt and more. It has been maintained and I have kept a log of everything I've done and miles I've driven.The second part of this car, is a complete vege-oil conversion kit that I put in. There is a complete separate fuel system with a 10 gallon tank, two under the hood heaters and control computer mounted to the glove box. This is addition to the diesel system and can change back and forth easily while driving. 45-50 mpg on diesel or vegetable oil!I am including the garage set up which consists of two 55 gallon drums, transfer pump, bolt-down filter and band heater.The only problem with the car is it needs a new water pump. I don't have as much time on my hands as I once did and it's time to pass the torch. This car is the real deal and a real find.
