Vehicle Detail
1976 Fiat 124 Spider, 5 speed manual, 69,000 miles. Fuel/oil gauges are inoperable, crack in dash board, center console is damaged, tear in passenger seat, no rust showing on exterior but there is some signs of paint bubbling (rust under the paint). It's a 36 year old car so please expect things to potentially break. 1 week after I bought it, the car would not start. One new ignition switch later and it was fine. 3 weeks after that the 36 year old water pump gave out. A new one was put on and she's running fine again. Great daily driver and/or a great restoration project car. While I am listing the cosmetic things wrong with the car because I don't want you to be disappointed when you see the car in person, it's a great looking and running car. I would consider it a 20 footer. From that distance you don't see many cosmetic flaws and she's really pretty. I get compliments at the gas station and stop lights all of the time. I get pretty skeptical about purchasing cars that you can't see in person so I understand if you feel the same way. Please shoot me an email if you have any questions. As long as you see the pictures and understand the few flaws this car has, I think it will bring years of fun driving pleasure. Gas mileage is around 26 mpg, since the fuel gauge doesn't work I usually fill back up at around 200 miles on the trip meter. It has a 9.9 gallon fuel tank. Plates in Kansas are cheap since it's over 35 years old and considered an antique, only $17 per year here! That's something to consider and possibly look into for your State. Also, insurance is less than $40 per month with full coverage so it's a relatively inexpensive and very fun way to get around. Good luck bidding! You can book it out under the classic cars section at the NADA website. You can check out how many brand new parts are still made for this old car at Auto Ricambi if you'd like to do some research.
