1997 Ford F150 XL 4X4 Regular Cab 5 Speed Long Bed,Fresh Clutch Job 188,360 miles Attn. Bidders, Welcome. For this auction we have a 1997 Ford F150 XL 4X4 Regular Cab Long Bed Truck with 188,360 miles, with the 4.2 litre v6. This truck is in good condition, overall it does have some rust spots , a few dings & dents but again what truck doesn't so lets get to it... The truck is a 1997 Ford F-150 XL 4X4 5 speed. When we got the truck it needed a clutch, so we did a complete NEW!!! clutch , pressure plate & throw-out bearing NOT a Remanufactured unit & while I was in there I did the slave cylinder so that it would not have any further issues in that department. The motor runs very nicely with no skips, knocking or stalling.The transmission shifts up through the gears with ease, also reverse goes into to gear just as smooth as do the other five forward gears. The transfer case as you would expect also works without issue & shifts from 2wd to 4hi & then into 4lo as smooth as it does going into the N The interior on this truck is very basic it has a 40/60 split cloth bench seat w/no rips or tears, manual windows & manual locks, but the truck DOES have A/C. All the heater doors & venting ducts switch to their appropriate locations as well. The radio is a AM/FM/Tape that works as it should & sounds nice with no blown out speakers. Lastly, the basic rubber floor matting IS NOT worn out on the drivers side gas pedal area nor the area at the door entrance that usually rips from traffic & is VERY clean. The exterior is that of a normal truck having its usual dings & dents with a few spots of rust about see photos* ,but other than a few imperfections you normally find on trucks; this truck looks & runs out quite nice. It has no shakes or shimmies while driving & the steering wheel holds strait while braking. There are no other noises or banging that would be associated with suspension issues .The truck also has the factory sport alloy wheels & part-time locking hub's for the 4WD, as to decrease the drag on the drive train thus increasing the fuel mileage. The 4WD works as it should engaging & disengaging with ease as do the part time hubs rotate without any signs of binding or need to apply force to rotate. All front axle joints are sound as is the front driveshaft, having no issues with CV joints or U-joint internal to the front axle.
