Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1935 Ford 5-window coupe with rumble seat, a great little "old school" street rod that was correctly built in California some 20+ years ago. The body is all steel, and is in very good condition. The car runs and drives very smoothly, and is pleasure to take anywhere. The doors shut solid, and there are no vibrations or shimmies, no wandering, just smooth and pleasant driving. The engine is a Ford 302 V8 with lots of chrome, a mild cam, electronic ignition, new plug wires, a polished intake with a Holley 4 bbl. carb (electric choke). It runs strong, and the drive train has about 15,000 miles on it. The C4 transmission shifts smoothly, and is equipped with a performance shift kit and a Lokar shifter. The car has a Walker radiator with attached A/C condenser, dual electric fans on a thermostat, and the engine runs cool. It also has an aluminum coolant overflow tube. The dual exhaust with glass packs adds to the driving pleasure. The rear is a 9 inch Ford axle (ratio 3.25), with parallel leaf springs, tubular shocks, drum brakes, and a anti-sway bar. The front suspension is a straight axle with a transverse spring, tubular shocks, anti-sway bar, and has power disc brakes and power steering, creating an excellent ride and super easy steering. The front tires are205/60R15 Remingtons on Eagle 15x7 alloy wheels, and the rear tires are 255/70R15 Remingtons on Eagle 15x8 wheels, all in great condition. The electrical systems perform with no problems. The exterior color is a metallic sandy-gold color, and always draws favorable comments from the public. The paint is old, and has a few chips, a few small cracks, and a scratch or two, but is still very presentable. I would refer to it as a 5-footer, meaning that from five feet, the imperfections are not noticeable and the paint looks good. It is not a show car, but is a great looking driver that can be taken to shows with pride. The chrome is excellent, and has been updated over the years. The original grille was recently beautifully replated at a cost of $1200.00. The bumpers and chrome mounts are in excellent condition. The windshield cranks out smoothly, and the rear window rolls down for fresh air flow or conversation with rumble seat passengers. All of the glass is in great condition. The front cowl vent is sealed off, but is all there and could be made operational. The interior is in very nice condition, but is probably somewhat dated by today's standards. The power seat and door panel material is a short-napped camel colored fabric with a complementary vinyl trim, and the carpet is a light brown. The headliner is also the same color as the vinyl trim on the seat. There are no major imperfections in the interior, but some light wear is present. I do have new matching arm rests that I have never installed that will go with the car, sun visors also. The GM steering column has tilt, and the gauges include the original speedometer (working) and four SW gauges (oil pressure, water temperature, amp gauge, and fuel). The original center dash "waterfall" and ash tray are intact. The CD player is a Pioneer unit, with an amplifier under the seat. The rear speakers consist of two 12" Rockford Fosgate subwoofers and two R-F 6x9 speakers. The front speakers are 6" Alpines. The cabinet containing the subs & speakers is removable for extra room behind the seat. There is no heater or air conditioning, but either of these could be added easily. I drive the car mainly from spring to fall, and have not needed them. The rumble seat and spare tire are fully functional. If you have any questions or concerns, or would like more photos, please contact me (Dave) by e-mail or call (505) 486-0817. The car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. There is no warranty on this vehicle, either expressed or implied, and shipping will be at the expense of the buyer. I am located in northwestern New Mexico, and might be ble to assist with transportation if the car sells in this region. A $1000.00 deposit to be made through PayPal will be due within 48 hours of the end of the audtion Thanks for looking!
