“IMMPECABLE SCARLET RED” 69 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE! 1969 was the pinnacle year for the Ford Mustang! This particular Mustang is in outstanding condition and happens to be a beautiful example of attractive convertible released that model year. This car mass hysteria every single time it hits the streets. This pony also still retains most of its original equipment. Displayed in a beautiful shade of Fire/ Engine Red the pony is a certified traffic stopper {with the top up or down}! The previous owner had this car in his possession for twenty three years. He purchased it from the original owner. At any rate the both owners absolutely cherished the car & their passion for it is evident from the vehicles overall condition. The car has only been repainted once {the 2nd owner had it done}. This was the only paint work that the car has ever had outside the sacred halls of Dearborn. He spent almost a four months time researching its original shade {before painting}. The color on this car is the exact color that was sanctioned by Ford in 69! He was very meticulous to detail. He actually received an award for the cars overall presentation in 2009 at an MCA {Mustang Club of America} sponsored car show in Kansas. The exact shade of red is hard to capture in essence without seeing it in person. Anyway it is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! The over all fit & finish of this Blue Oval is extremely nice! You’ll have no problem being proud of it at your own local car show. The body panels are very straight & the doors shut tight. The windows are on track & damage free. The front windshield is as well. The car carries that unique 1960”s muscle car flair & styling ques. A Mach 1 style hood scoop sits a top of the hood. It is down right aggressive looking on this convertible! The sport mirrors add yet more flavor to this pony “the car screams yesteryear”! This car was actually ordered with the blacked out hood treatment that was reserved for Mach 1 cars {see Marti report}! Black or Red the car still looks incredible. COMPLIMENTS ARE EVER PRESENT! There are GT side stripes attached to the rockers that seem to fit this Mustang wonderfully. The complete & overall picture of this pony is quite appealing! The original 2B code {Black Kiwi Standard} upholstery is in excellent shape. The seats are more than comfortable. The seat cushions are foam was replaced a short time ago. Nicely done! The door panels also prove to be in wonderful condition. The factory steering wheel is in better shape than most & the dash pad cover is spank brand new {the dash pad cover was attached to the original pad. The factory pad has a few cracks in it}. Almost all of the interior components were replaced recently. The carpet is new & so are several quarter trim pieces. The rear seat covers look great, but they are not new. I do have a new set that will go with the car {if so desired}. The original Raven black power canvas top is functions properly & the rear window looks fantastic. The top was replaced a couple of years ago. The soft top lowers in a mila second thanks to proper maintenance. The convertible power top fluid reservoir was serviced a short time ago {operation is always a breeze}. Many classic Mustang enthusiasts seem to neglect addressing job because it happens to be a tedious one. However failure to do so will most likely cause the next owner to shell out countless dollars on cracked lines, a sluggish reservoir and possibly a new convertible top motor. No worries here ….the potential new owner of this pony can rest assured that the hard work has been done. The factory [F-Code 302] Motor and original [C-4 Cruise-O-Matic] Transmission are both the original equipment. This 302 block was freshened up in 2011. It has plenty of torque & runs better than any 302 that I have ever owned! The complete power train is in excellent working condition! This classic is more than road worthy! The compression ratio value stand true & transmission engages as it should. I personally drove it 150 continuous miles a short time ago & she did not miss a beat! This Mustang has had a host of engine parts replaced recently. The battery, starter, alternator, plugs, wires, water pump, thermostat, belts, hoses being just a few. Very reliable….Fly in/drive back? Want to hear her perform “let’s have a listen! Authentic yet brand new 15x8 inch Magnum 500 wheels {no 14 inch wheels here} and spank brand new wide track Firestone FireHawk raised white letter performance radials provide good handling & give this pony an extra aggressive look! The new set up doesn’t even have twenty miles on them {receipts included}! The bigger mag wheels give this pony a to die for look. It sports a stance that could even make its sibling Boss 302 jealous! Dual Exhaust with two chamber performance mufflers are the order of the day. This Mustang has a nostalgic muscle car growl! Working side markers, head lights, high beams, blinkers, wipers, dash illumination and other lights function as they should also. This 69 Ford also has nice chrome and superb exterior moldings throughout. Power steering, power top, & AM/FM radio makes cruising a pleasure! There is an amplifier tucked away in the trunk {stock appearance/modern technology}. You may find a few nice 1969 Mustang Convertibles, however you won’t find many like this. What you have here basically is a solid classic car that is ready to roll. “WARNING” pulling this car out of the garage “means you’ll be in for a long day with complete strangers”!!! It will become common place to hear comments like “I absolutely LOVE your car” & “Hey what year is that Mustang…it’s the most beautiful one that I have ever seen”! No matter where you go ‘plan having a crowd following you! Owning this car can turn an average day into one filled with excitement! Almost everything on the car has either been refurbished or replaced. Garaged and covered {car cover included}. This gorgeous Rally Red 69 convertible pony is ready to be enjoyed.
