Vehicle Detail
The pictures do not do the car justice. It is perfect in every way. 1968 Mustang Shelby 350 GT Fastback that was originally Highland Green and the 302-4v engine was replaced with a new 351. The original engine and buck tags are included if one wanted to revert back to the stock engine to improve collectors' valuations. The installed 351 is a premier engine with the top end of the engine was set-up by the Bill Elliott team. The car went through a complete rotisserie restoration approximately 9 years ago and was the finest example of a restoration ever seen to date. By several local enthusiasts, its been called a Level 1 restoration, one of the nicest around. The restoration process took approximately 3 years to complete and the receipts total over 70000 dollars. The car really has no equal. It is in the Shelby registry and we have a certified Marti report on the car. VIN (8T02J193932-02251) We didn’t want to put the 50$ stripe on the bottom of both sides because we really love the car as it stand currently, the black paint scheme flawless in quality. Black is hard to paint. This paint work is without equal. . We have complete pictures of the restoration process. The car has been professionally stored in a climate controlled area since restoration. It has less than 200 miles on it since complete restoration. The car was actually produced on April 11 1968, three days behind schedule DOOR DATA PLATE INFORMATION Serial Number 8T02J193932-02251 8) 1968 T) Built at Metuchen 02) Shelby GT-350 Fastback J) 302-4V Engine 93,93nd) Mustang scheduled for production at Metuchen 2.251st) Shelby scheduled for production 63B) Shelby Fastback R) Highland Green Paint Ford #3067-A 5AA) Black Knitted Décor Bucket Seats 08D) Scheduled for build April 8, 1968 8d2845) Home Office Reserve ordering district under order number 2845 1) 3.89 standard axle ration 5) Four-Speed Manual Transmission The vehicle was ordered with the following options: Extra cooling package Visibility group Sport deck rear seat Power steering Power front disc brakes Tilt-away steering column Am radio Interior décor group Heavy duty battery Front and rear bumper guards Tachometer and trip odometer Wheel lip moldings The car is located in Ottawa Canada and was bought from a collector in NJ.
